It is bad. I actually live just up the street from a little pizzeria where the guy made it his dream. Nothing fancy, family like place and hires teens that need help and jobs. Some of the best pizza ever and does it for a great cause. And they make it right when you order, really good stuff.

Just can't beat those kind of places.

Agreed. The woman and I go once a week to a local hole-in-the-wall where townies hang out. We get the same pizza each time -- they do a great Greek pie (and I have a couple beers). I always make sure to save a couple pieces to take home for breakfast the next morning.

Musta been Rocky Mountain oysters instead of sausages.

Ewwww!!!!!!!

You're awful!

As punishment, you shall be sentenced to eating one dozen of them - right before bed!

So there!!!

I've ordered from Papa John's for years and it has nothing to do with whose pitching their Pizza. I often get emails for 50% off any pizza. However, Dominos is pretty good too, so I order from there sometimes as well. It's a toss up since they both make great pizzas. I go with whoever is running the best special at the moment. Never heard of Papaginos.

Cat, no offense buddy, but I can definitely see you as a Papa John's Pizza lovin' kinda guy.

The one time I tried Papa John's was my last forever. It looked and tasted like it was made in a factory.

For thin crust Papa Ginos is better than Pizza Hut IMO. For some good thin crust I like Bianchi's(revere beach) or the Brown Jug(chelsea).

I only have good pizza a couple times a year when visiting the Fam back east...

Oh yeah, screw Papa Johns...

If you care about pizza, move east. What you've just described is disgusting.

Hey peeps. Just some pizza tips.

The best pizza in the boston area that I've eaten is from Emma's pizza in Kendall sq, Cambridge. Get the #1. Caramalized onions and red peppers.

For chains, I prefer Uppercrust pizza.

I had my first pizza almost 60 years ago at Pizza Regina's on Thatcher St. in the N.End. The plate sized pie was $.50. The large was $1 When I was in college I would take friends down there. Some of these suburban rich kids were afraid to get out of the car. :D The same waitresses were still there 15 years later and STILL wouldn't allow me to get a beer.

It was great thin crust pizza cooked in the same brick oven that they had when they opened the place in the 1930's. I've never tasted better. There are other Pizza Regina's around now, and while they are good, they aren't the same. You can't duplicate that oven.

Now the small cheese is over $8, but the oven is still there. So if you are ever down there, I'd highly recommend it. Not too far from Boston Garden. If you like that kind of pizza, I was surprised to find that California Pizza came pretty close. Of the big chains Pappa Gino's is the best. I have a Domino's up the street, and their pan pizza, and thin crust pizza are OK if you order them with extra sauce.

As to the OP, I think its a great ad, and if one was near me, I'd get one just because of the ad. Good for Pappa Ginos. BTW- I've only had one Pappa John's pizza, and I've never gone back.

I went to elementary school in Wrentham. the cafeteria would have Papa Ginos for lunch once a week. Not great, but good.

I lived across the street from the Morgantown, WV Papa Johns a few years ago. Worst pizza I've ever had not from Pizza Hut. How that garbage sells is beyond me. They picked the perfect spokes person for their overrated dreck.

Domino's is horrible. They used to be horrible then they started advertising their new better crust, sauce etc, so my wife wanted to try them again. Everyone agreed, they still suck.

I think Domino's tastes pretty good especially their new artisan Pizzas.

I never tried Pizza back east. I am open to trying any pizza. The Pizza back east may possibly taste better than the chain Pizza places like Pizza Hut, Papa John's Domino's etc. However, I personally still think Papa John's and Domino's taste good.

Lynwood Pizza in Randolph, Mass.

The servers are old, rude, and mean. The owner is a stupid, old, cheap prick. My uncle worked there for years when he was a kid and the guy refused to give him even a 5 cent raise. They actually close for two weeks in August rather than allowing anyone to go on vacation. They have no ATM, cash only. They don't accept any IDs that are not Mass. IDs, including passports or military IDs. The only reason I've ever gotten a beer there is because they know my Dad and they give him however many beers he asks for. My brother once threw up outside when we were kids trying to eat an entire pizza.

But my God, that is some good pizza. Amazing.
