The best part is that, in all likelihood, the Jets cycle of despair will begin again in about a month.

I'm just so happy that the Patriots have now finally surmounted the Jets historic achievement of going to two consecutive AFCCGs by reach their third in a row.

I feel sorry for the two or three good posters over at JI. Reading the Divisional Round thread reminded me that the lowest common denominator has the same voting rights as I do.

Jets fans are too funny with their Patriots envy. Their board has pretty much melted down with the Pats going to another AFCCG. They still blame every Patriots win on the refs.

in reality, I really don't care what a Jet fan thinks because who would expect them to say anything nice (I'm sure there are a few good ones, but the vocal clods? seem to rule the day).

One thought at this particular time: have you ever seen the locker room of an 8--8 team after the final game of the season that was happier and more celebratory than the Jets' after Woody "Is the ball stuffed with feathers" Johnson spoke?

I used to think there was something "off" with this franchise for its culture of celebrating winning the annual May Super Bowl, but that was a new low even for the gang in green. I was waiting for someone to pop a champagne cork.

So how's the JI crowd handling Namath saying that Brady haters are jealous of his success?
