If Allen can't go next week then why not.....

If he can still punt, I wouldn't mind.

Hell, if he can just be a good holder, I wouldn't mind.

I'd be shocked because Belichick wants people who treat football as their priority, Kluwe doesn't. And good for him that he doesn't there are more important things than football, but that's probably why Belichick isn't trying to sign Kenneth Bae to a contract.

Really wish Bengals didn't sign Mesko. Would be nice to get him a super bowl ring.

I'd take Kluwe on this team in a heartbeat.

Needs to be a left footed punter. Allen though might be ok to go. We will see

Chris Kluwe?

Because the punting unit is in the habit of playing with one? That's actually a good idea.

No, because the spin of the ball always looks weird. Belicheck has always had one I believe. But he likes lefties and the spin just looks odd to players.

And yes, probably used to them also.

He's an average punter, but I think he's as good as you're going to find at this point in the season. I really don't think there's any chance he'd be a distraction in the middle of a playoff run either, especially if he's busy trying to get settled with a new team.

He's the top guy on the current FA list.

There are a lot of good choices for punter around. Getting Gostkowski out of there and Brady off his knee on field goals is critically important, although I love the fantasy of a fake field goal gadget play with Brady throwing a pass.

With Gostkowski running a wheel route and catching the pass? :D

Didn't Kluwe recently call his old coaches "cowards" and "bigots"? Belichick doesn't want to deal with that. Doesn't matter how good Kluwe is.

Maybe because they were?

Didn't Blount have major issues with coaches in college?
Didn't Dennard punch a police officer?

Belichick doesn't want to deal with that...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

True or not, fact is Kluwe shot himself in the foot by calling his coaches names publicly.

Most likely look at guys they had in for a workout. Powell or Malone. ANyone one know if either is left footed?

Mesko under contract with the Bungles currently.

Mesko under contract with the Bungles currently.

Powell and Malone are right footed.
