If someone told you that the Pats would score 43 points in a playoff game, and Brady would throw 0 tds and be placeholding for the kicker...

...what would you say? :D

After some brief scares, we made it friends! Jamie Collins broke out today.

Players of the game.

Defense: Jamie Collins

Offense: Blount

Unsung Hero: Logan Mankins!!! The entire interior line! Lets goooooo

There's only one word I can think of that adequately describes how this performance has made me feel: proud. Proud for a bunch of guys to put up this performance given the adversity they've faced this season. Furthermore, Tom Brady has the marbles to sit back and let the run game dominate. He is something else.

EIGHTH AFCCG in 13 years.

let me say that again: EIGHT AFC Championship in 13 years.

Un bleeping real.

EDIT: Thanks to Juny for correcting me down the road. 8th! Not seventh!

Back in the AFCCG. Let's go, San Diego!

Awesome performance today. Huge credit to McDaniels for making this offense go so far on such a dearth of talent.

Were back in the AFC championship!!! :rocker::rocker:

I guess our now-officially-ex-rookies have playoff experience :D

Does anyone know if Brady now owns the record for final four appearances? This will be his 8th, not sure if Montana made it 8 times or not.

Dione (sp?) Branch who? :rocker:

What a running game, Brady was flawless, defense were ball hawks, way to go Pats!!

Sorry Marshall, Warner, Sapp, TJ, Ditka.....we are baaaaaaacccckkkkkkkk!!!!!:rocker:

i didnt follow the game thread, was there the usual "mcdaniels is awful" "brady is losing it" "brady isnt a good qb he has no tds" Nonsense?

Incredible game today, my only wish is a little bit more play action passing. it seemed to work almost every time.

Blount is a monster, Hes our most dynamic running back, not ridley

I would say I saw it coming. It was as obvious at the start of the season as LeGarrette Blount and Jamie Collins being the heart of this team. :snob:

Had to share this.

Interesting.

That was fun, lets go up to 5,280 feet and unleash Blount force trauma again.

SEVENTH AFCCG in 13 years.

let me say that again: SEVENTH AFC Championship in 13 years.

Un bleeping real.

Isn't this Brady's EIGHTH?

Great win by the Patriots, once again overcoming adversity to win in convincing fashion. These are my B6 post games thoughts:

• Blount is the real deal, I was way off when I spoke negatively of him earlier in the year. I will own that, he is running like a man amongst boys right now and his confidence is high and you can see it in him he is riding high right now.
• Collins is the gifted, he and Chandler Jones could pair to be the scariest duo of front 7 players in the NFL over the next few years – 6 tackles, 3 QB hits, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and 1 interceptions, that is getting it done in every phase of the game.
• Edelman has become very complete as a WR over the course of this season, he makes plays, draws penalties and it takes 5 players to bring him to the ground every time he has the football.
• Deion Branch is a moron he tarnished his legacy as a Patriots to stand on the sidelines in sweats and watch his team lose by 21 points. Combine that with his backing Hernandez this offseason and in 6 months he has gone from a well like and respect player in New England to one of the most idiotic to ever don at Patriots uniform.
• Ridley is running well and the coaches trust him with the football. He has not received a lot of recognition because Blount has been playing out of this world but he has 2 very good games in a row back-to-back and has not had any ball protection issues since working with Faulk after the Denver game.
• Alfonzo Dennard is a fine CB; every time I watch him play I think how terrific he is in man-to-man coverage, even when he gets beat he is right there.
• What is up with Vereen he didn’t seem like himself today, he was not running good routes and was basically invisible?
• Amendola really struggles to get open, outside of the big reception on the play action when he was able to run free through the secondary he was not able to get open at all and the big catch should have went the distance and probably would have if it was any other receiver on this team. Either his groin is still an issue or he is not as explosive as advertised because he struggles more than any WR on this team to get open or create space against his defender.
• Chandler Jones needs to be a bigger factor next week, I was disappointed that he wasn’t more of a factor, 2 tackles, 2 QB hits today; the same can be said for his partner Ninkovich who had 1 tackles and 2 QB hits today.
• Siliga was a beat against the run again this week and allowed the 3 tech to attack the QB, this allowed Chris Jones to have a very good game with 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 QB hit and 1 tackle for a loss; after going 7 games (mostly when we were using the 3-4 front) without a sack Jones has a sack in 2 straight ball games.
• Not that it has anything to do with the game but Wilfork looks like he ate Kyle Love, he has to be pushing 450 lbs. right now.

Jamie Collins is everything we hoped he would be.
