Um, I'll glady take a safety on that. Is Dierdorf trying to say it's better for us if the Colts get the ball on our 2 yard line?

Seriously wtf!

That actually worked out for us because we get to punt it and hold them instead of giving them 2 yards for TD

why didn't he kick it thru the endzone to begin with instead of risk giving it to them at the 1 with 4 downs? The safety seems like the best outcome after that botched play.
We should've gone for it on 4th & 1. On 3rd&2 we should've just went for 2 qb sneaks.
This game is now a lot closer than it should be

Why are we the only team that can't snap the ball to the punter in all of the playoffs?

Hopefully the D can stop this pain and get the ball back. Props to Indy for being FAR MORE physical than I thought they were capable of. Let's MATCH their intensity.

Should be our ball at the 20 if it was fumbled out of the EZ.

What was that

Wow who is calling this game because he is an idiot like he sound so dumb it actually annoys me. I would much rather give up 2 points and kick the ball to the other team with a safety than turn the ball over at the 2 yards line.

Special Teams has been just awful thus far. They need to tighten up.

Dierdorf is wrong I think. I'd rather take the safety than give the Colts the ball near the goal line. Right?

I agree with you.

And by the way -- can we finally agree that Aiken is no Paxton??

At least we didn't give up 7. Right guys?

....guys?

Looked to me like he fumbled while being hit around the 1 yard line then the Colt guy knocked the ball out of the end zone unintentionally. Not sure what the ruling is when that happens.

I'm trying to figure out what Dierdorf is saying -- shouldn't Allan kick the ball out of the EZ there? Dierdorf seems to think he should have down it at the 1 or 2.

Edit: yes, that is what he's saying. Thoughts anyone?

I think a safety is better result han downing the ball at the 2 and giving the Colts 2 yards for a TD. At least all they get is 2 pts and the ball. insy=tead of a relatively sure 7. No?

Our punter pulled a Colston there. Lucky he didn't make that an Indy TD.

God almighty Dierdorf is clueless how is it better to give them 7 than 2?

I agree. "At least they'd have to work?" That's why he's Dierdoof

Hopefully that play doesn't come back to bite

As a punter in that situation you kick it out of the back of the end zone for a safety.
Best possible outcome for Patriots is a safety here
