Weather for Saturday vs Colts

I'm not convinced if this is good or bad for the Pats or Colts, but I am 100% sure that it is bad for me.

I am so with you the cold and snow you can dress and plan for, but the rain is just miserable. This will be the third soaking rain game this year and against Buffalo in order to make noise I had to slap my own face as I needed my other hand to hold my waterlogged pants from falling to my ankles.

Rain pants...poncho and your good....kick off temp will be in the 50s..much different then the buff game.

I was at the jets downpour at 2nd half...didn't get wet with the poncho. But also didn't tailgate in that as well. Bet lots of people will be going in later...i will still go in for 4 hours early

I also have a poncho but when I hear the word "downpour" I'm thinking I might head over to Walmart and look into rain suits

If you want a rain suit go to REI, Bass Pro or someplace similar. It's worthwhile to shell out a few serious bucks for a good one that actually will work and last. I'm on my second rain suit since 2004.

i am a golfer..so i have the UA waterproof pants...amazing how good they are

True! It down poured second half non stop vs Jets Thurs.Nite Game I went to. I had a cheap rain poncho that was useless. I have a couple of Pats Ponchos at got at Pro Shop hopefully those work better.

Weather shaping up to be a non-factor. Would not be surprised if game came down to special teams turnovers.

I have a heavy duty pats poncho..think and heavy..better then those cheap thin ones for $1

I'll have five layers on and the outer two will be waterproof but I'm still worried about it. Wet is wet.

Weather is a mental thing. You'll be warm and dry before the game and warm and dry afterward. So whatever happens DURING the game, just go with the flow and have fun.

Looks like Seattle will have similar conditions so I'll be curious to see how the play selection and execution is affected.

For Seattle?

I wouldn't think that they'd be affected too much at all, to be honest with you. They rely on tough defense, and a power bell-cow running game.

N.Orleans will obviously have a tougher battle to try and play in those conditions and have any success, but their work is cut out for them no matter what/where they're playing this weekend.

I am more worried about my TV picking up the other game with the wind. (my antenna hates the wind)

The Pats tend to fumble the ball in the rain. I am worried…I wanted snow - lots of snow.
Me to, lots of snow. I want the entire home field advantage.

Good advice indeed! I'll roll with it.

I would think that any adverse weather would benefit the Patriots.
1) They know how the home wind blows and how it affects play
2) TB throws a tight spiral and his passes are less likely to be affected by wind. Though I did see Luck throwing and he seems to throw a good ball as well, but wind is a slightly different factor and I'm not sure if he's played much in those conditions
3) Our offense is mostly short to intermediate throws and the munchkin squad is built for that. The weather may not allow much more than that With TBs accuracy and ability, it favors our game style.
4) Running the ball. Still favors the Patriots

I still like our chances, even with the depleted squad.

IIRC this is lucks first NFL game in the rain..lets see how it goes. Will be more of a ground game day...advantage:pats

Speaking of reception, anyone ever had a dish that iced up? I'm assuming that's my problem (message 771). Will head to the bar if it doesn't thaw with a blowtorch.

Windshield washer fluid, my friend. No, no, no to the blow torch..........sheesh.

You can loosen the ice up with cooler to lukewarm water. You don't want it to be too warm though, or you can crack your dish. Also, don't use any other cleaner aside from windshield washer fluid. It too, can screw up your dish and/or its signals.

Don't say I never did anything for ya ;)
