I believe he has phenomenal potential with a skill set few could claim (arm strength, accuracy, mobility/speed, and intelligence). People quickly forget he is still a relative newbie (2nd year), and thus is still learning the game.
He is a very good QB right now, but I would not call him great. With experience and no injuries, and the right supporting cast, I see him becoming the best in the NFL. It is easy to forget he has slightly less than RG3's quickness (4.6 to 4.41 - Kaepernick is 4.53), more size, but is advertised as a pocket passer. That is a very dangerous combination, with plenty of possibilities.
At this point, he has adjusted to NFL speed and can hit his passes, but appears to depend on his security blanket (Wayne). He has found Hilton, but just hasn't seemed as seamless without Wayne. I expect there is a difference between executing a play as directed and surveying the field as Brady tends to do. That comes with time and experience.
