So Collins is essentially a full-time player now and Fletcher will have a larger part-time role. More speed atleast?

He looked to be in a lot of pain in the Bills game and there really wasnt that much contact on the play. He's been playing through this for a while but probably just couldn't get around on it (his knee) any more.

If the Pats were playing the Ravens or Steelers or some other physical team of years past this would hurt even more. Luckily no other AFC team is very good running the ball...or at least not a power running type of team. I suppose Morerno is good.

Just saw it on NFL Live. All I can do is laugh then cry, then accept it.

Maybe it's bad to have a QB/coach that can carry your team to the playoffs irrelevant of the decimation from injuries?

Really, how can we compete when you are just straight up missing this much talent? Even if we get past the Colts, and then somehow squeeze by a team like the Broncos, and by some miracle we end up in a Superbowl....I just don't know what would we do against the talent and star filled defensive teams of SF and Seattle. Even Carolina.

Just how much more can we overcome? What should our expectations be realistically at this point?

Spikes has looked like he was running in quicksand that was in a big tub of molasses for a while now. He has been far less than 100% for longer than the Bills game.

Front 7 looking a bit different than it did in Sept.

Spikes intensity will be missed - he was already hobbled and almost a liability so I think Fletcher will be a better option. The D will adapt, but the O can help them out by making the Colts have to throw. Dane is better in coverage and Spikes will not be as missed if they are not running.

Reasonable point by Mike Loyko on twitter - I'm paraphrasing, but if we get to the SB, I'd rather have Spikes against the likes of Lynch and Gore. But that is getting a little ahead.

I wanted to point that out too, but I did not want to jinx anything.

So...... Who's getting the phone call. Cunningham? Joe the plumber?

The Super Bowl? How about we focus on the Colts first. Jesus.

Sucks to hear. Hope to see him re-signed. Get well big man.

Powwwwwwww

You have to believe man. I remember Willie was talking about, It is the no name guys that show up and make that big play(s) that help we games and championships.

We have to believe. We still have Brady and BB.

"IF we believe, IT will happen"

No doubt. If we were to reach the Superbowl and face Seattle or San Fran, this is a huge injury. Let's just enjoy this crazy ride and win Saturday first. :)

I said he has been playing through this for a while. Not sure what your point is. When I said he was in pain I was referring to when he reaggravated the injury vs the Bills and came out for the game.
