I don't know where else to post this, but I wanted to analyze every playoff team--I think that's more comprehensive than just picking every game.

AFC:
1. Denver - We can't just assume Peyton will go one and done again just because he's done it quite a few times in the past. We really do need to give credit where credit is due--Peyton just put in one of the best regular season QB performances of all time, if not the best. That being said, they don't match up very well with the other AFC playoff teams. I think they'd beat CIN, lose to IND, and it's 50/50 with the other AFC teams.

2. New England - This team is mentally tough and never gives up, but that might not be enough to offset the injuries and general lack of talent (especially on offense) in the playoffs. I think they'd beat CIN, but it would be up in the air against every other AFC team.

3. Cincinnati - The Bengals are incredibly talented, but Andy Dalton just shuts it down in the playoffs (and against good teams in general). I would pick them to lose any game--except for the one they're slated to play this weekend, possibly. More on that with my SD explanation.

4. Indianapolis - I feel similarly about Indy as I do about the Pats. They show up in big games, but is there enough talent there? I think they'd definitely beat CIN and KC, and I think they have a shot at beating all the other AFC teams as well.

5. Kansas City - Although I'm picking them to be one and done, it's more because of my confidence in the Colts. I don't think this team is as guaranteed one and done as everyone says. They didn't fade down the stretch, their schedule was just incredibly backloaded. If they can get past Indy (I don't see that happening), they would have a chance in any of the remaining games.

6. San Diego - I thought SD would be a dangerous team in the playoffs a week ago, but after seeing them almost lose to KC's backups, I just don't know if this team is good enough to be relevant in the playoffs. I wouldn't feel confident predicting them to win or lose against any of these teams. Complete wild card.

Now for the NFC:

1. Seattle - The Seahawks aren't very flashy, but they're just too rock solid to pick against in most games. They're simply just better than pretty much all the other teams in the playoffs. I'd pick them over CAR, NO, and SF, and they'd probably beat the Eagles too. I think the team with the best shot at knocking them off is Green Bay, which I'll explain soon.

2. Carolina - I don't trust Cam Newton in the playoffs. He hasn't proven to crumble in the postseason, but he also hasn't proven that he can step up. This team just underwhelms me for a 2 seed and they really strike me as a one and done team. It could go either way against PHI, SF, and NO, but I would pick against them if they faced SEA or GB.

3. Philadelphia - I think the Eagles will either go one and done or go very deep in the playoffs. Not much other analysis to give, but I feel that it could only go one of those two routes.

4. Green Bay - People are acting like the Packers backed into the playoffs and that they're much worse than the other teams because of their record. Is it really that hard to comprehend that most of their losses are entirely because of Aaron Rodgers's absence? I'd pick them against CAR, PHI, SF, and NO, and I'd also give them a very good shot--51% chance--of beating Seattle. It just sets up perfectly for them to avenge the Fail Mary, and Rodgers is a good road QB in the playoffs. The Packers seem to win most when they're underdogs.

5. San Francisco - The 49ers are really talented and on a hot streak, but I don't know how to feel about Kaepernick. He doesn't seem like a choker, but he also doesn't seem too clutch. I think they'll be competitive in every game because of the talent but eventually fall short to a team with more heart.

6. New Orleans - The 6 seed is the last thing the Saints needed. They might beat Philly, but they won't make it past Seattle anyway.

This prediction is predicated on what will drive New Yorkers, both Jets and Giant fans, nuts.

Throwing darts blindfolded, with little thought put into it (other than a dash of homerism):

Wild Card Round:
Bengals > Chargers
Chiefs > Colts

Eagles > Saints
49ers > Packers

Division Round:
Broncos > Chiefs
Patriots > Bengals

49ers > Seahawks
Panthers > Eagles

Conference Championships:
Patriots > Broncos
Panthers > 49ers

Super Bowl:
Patriots > Panthers

I might be alone but the Chiefs-Colts game is not very exciting to me. I am really not looking forward to it.

Anyone else?

Indianapolis over Kansas City (But I wouldn't be surprised in KC won)
New Orleans over Philadelphia
Cincinnati over San Diego
Green Bay over San Francisco

Denver over Indianapolis
Carolina over New Orleans
New England over Cincinnati (maybe, Im not convinced)
Seattle over Green Bay

Denver over New England
Seattle over Carolina

Seattle over Denver

I just dont see NE making it this year, not having to go through Denver, now if NE hosts the AFC Champ Game that's a different story. I think KC to Denver is going to be tough for Denver, thats 3x they would have to beta them in a year.
