Amendola did not choke and if Brady6 isn’t bashing him you shouldn’t either…

He had a very good game, no doubt, but he's being paid $6m to make that catch. How much is he worth simply to be a reliable slot WR but not a Star? He needs to make that catch if we're to have any chance of replacing Gronk's Red Zone prowess. That said, I'm not blaming him for the loss but I am disappointed that he didn't give us a big play.

Yes, but nobody is going to tell me "Wes Welker would have made that catch" which is usually how Amendola is dumped on around here. Because Welker would not have made it either.

Amendola did all of that while injured. Groin that needs surgery I think. He is holding off so he can play. Think what he could do when healthy. People want to blame him go ahead but I guarantee you will be singing his praises next year.

That is a common misconception that Amendola needs surgery, he does not need surgery or at least that’s what is being reported. He did what the surgery would do which is tear the muscle from the bone completely.

I blame Goodell.

If he wasn't so obsessed over upper body hits. Ward never would have taken out Gronk's knee and he'd have been in the line-up to catch the game winning TD from Brady.

It's all Roger's fault!

What??????

The surgery wouldn't remove it from the bone. The surgery would reattach it. The adductor muscle is stitched back together and reattached.

yeah I remember reading some stupidities over here right after the game as well..

My thoguhts on this game, first, I didn't expect a easy game at all, it was 50/50 for me, a little bit inclined to Miami to be honest.

We played well. Could have been better? Of course, but it was not a disgusting game like many others. Usually this games in Miami are fast really, you go take a dump and when you come back it's halftime. In games like this you need Touchdowns. We lost this game on the first possession and that one 3rd and 2 that they called a pass instead of a run and BB choose the FG. At that moment with Tannehill hot I knew for sure that would haunt us in the arse badly just like the Panthers game.

You can't expect to win by comebacks week after week. Someday the defense will make the plays.

I don't blame Amendola, it's really the opposite, Microtron play a hell of a game.

I don't blame Brady.

I don't blame Gostkowski. **** happens, we won the game last week thanks to him.

I'm not gonna watch the game again but overall I think the defense played a little better, disappointment is on Gregory. Harmon should start over him that's the true. He didn't even try to hit Wallace legs with his arm, that would affect his balance for sure and maybe it would stop the TD. Also always late. I think Logan Ryan was a little delayed yesterday too.

I'm not gonna blame even McDaniels with that stupid call again. In a team with this disability to score TD's in the red zone I can't understand certain calls.

But ok, some days you win, other you lose, I'll give the credit to Miami and think that we are losing when we can lose, I hope BB can get the defense together and adjust.

He was fantastic today. I agree with you; best game as a Patriot.

I agree too, but he still should've caught that pass.

There is also no way I am blaming Amendola for the loss; there is plenty of blame
to go around, on both sides of the ball, and starting at the top with an OC who is
garbage during Goal-to-Go situations.

That’s not what reports indicate.

Doctors often treat chronic groin pain by snipping the adductor longus – one of the muscles in the groin – from the pubic bone. Since Amendola's tendon ruptured, he essentially did the doctors' work for them, eliminating the need for surgery during the season. It also means he has a faster recovery time than if he had a groin operation.

Amendola did not drop the pass. He had it and was bringing it in when the defender knocked it away. *COULD* Amendola have held on? Sure, I guess it's possible. It would have taken a great play by him to make it though.

The other team is allowed to make good plays too. The DB stuck his arm in there and dislodged the ball. Nice play by him, sucks for us, but it is what it is.

Amendola dropped a pass and then didn't make a play in the End Zone when the defender did make a play. He didn't "choke." He's still a first class receiver. If he starts doing this often, maybe we can start to question him, but not now.

Let's not take out all of our frustration over the injuries and the other stuff that have hit the Pats this season on one player or another; if this had happened a couple years ago, people would have been bashing Gostkowski for the OB KO and the missed FG. He no more deserves "blame" than Amendola. The Pats have been living on the edge for weeks. Yesterday it caught up with them. That's on the team and not on one or two players.

Stuff happens. It happened. Time to focus on the Ravens and Bills and locking up the Division.

...That's blowing a pass?

Wait.... did you really take one single screen cap and try to put that forward as if it had meaning?

Were you high when you did that, or just hoping that people forgot that a catch involves time and is not a single instant?

Bottomline is it's a play he needed to make. Just like Welker's drops in the playoffs. They weren't easy but the good ones should make those important plays. At least he's seemingly improving though.

He didn't catch it cleanly and that's why it got knocked away. That bobble was the difference between a win and a loss. Funny how some apologists, particularly the anti-Welker crowd, are quick to defend.

The only difference between this play and the Welker play was that the defense had a chance to make a stop to win the game in the superbowl.

It's not how you start its how you finish I would put stock in Danny Armendola now his Arrow points up. Good positive signs he sould get more Opportunities in the coming weeks he still in uni.

Single covered he should win his match up. You gotta win those, and if you can't that is how you lose in the playoffs. I have seen enough of the playoffs to know that sometimes receivers have to make plays.

Did you just refer to yourself in the third person? Yikes...

Hopefully, the play will make Amendola realize his mistake so if the same situation arises we will see a nicer outcome.

I don't think this particular play tells us whether DA is one of the good ones or not.

It's a play the best guys do make.....sometimes. Back in the day, rookie Bears CB Charles Tillman ripped through Randy Moss' hands in much the same fashion to prevent a game-winning TD by the Vikings. Was Randy Moss therefore not good?

Amendola caught the ball in week one against Buffalo that allowed them to finish off the win. He also got absolutely crushed a couple plays earlier yesterday and held onto a ball that a vast majority of other WRs drop to keep the drive going. He didn't quite get this one. Next time he might. The DB made a great play.

I think next week is an important game for Danny Amendola maybe the most important game of the season for him. Throughout his career in St Louis and his first 15 weeks in a Patriots uniform he has been a player who can show up big and have a brilliant game and then disappear for weeks of mediocre play. I would like to see him follow up yesterday’s performance with another big day.

I suppose so. After all, our defense is so bad that giving the opposing the team the ball SIXTY yards from the end zone is an automatic touchdown. The defense bears no responsibility at all. It is all Gostkowski's fault. And the offense bears no responsibility for scoring a total of SIX points on two 15 play drives in the first half.

This must be the Sunday or Monday night after a losses. As the article said, patriots fans are one of the worst in accepting or understanding losses. Some of also reserve these days for the worst analysis of the year.

And on ST. Gostkowski had his worst game all year. I thought on ST, with the missed FG, and the kickoff out of bounds, was where we lost the game.
