In a bizarre twist for a team that has already been decimated by injuries to key personnel, the New England Patriots suffered even more devastating losses when Bill Belichick, Bob Kraft and Jonathan Kraft all suffered torn ACLs. While watching practice from the sidelines, all three were rolled up on when Donte Hightower and Stephen Gregory piled into them following a play in practice. All three will be placed on season-ending IR. Hightower was heard saying "I had to go low on them because I didn't want to get fined for a hit to the head." All three injuries could've been prevented if they were wearing knee braces. Tom Brady will assume the roles of head coach, GM, vice-president and owner in their absence. "Next man up", said a despondent Brady.

Another Patsfans poster trying out for the Onion I see

Actually Don I admit I was a little frosted when I first realized I had been had yet again, but caught myself smiling a wry smile (while wearing sunglasses) when I got to the end... Guess we're all kind of laughing through our tears this bizarre season. Not a bad effort.

ok just for this to not be a completely useless thread, I got a question:

Does the clock run on a two point conversion attempt?

I noticed that didn't in Vereen's run last game after the comeback, I don't remember if the browns had a timeout or not.

In more devastating new this is moved to the practice squad in 3, 2, 1...

Some jokes aren't funny because they are either a good idea with poor execution or a bad idea with good execution. This attempt doesn't fall into either of these categories.

Come on man. We need to laugh at some point so we don't spend this entire season crying with all the injuries. I absolutely love reading this board, but icould use a little levity sometimes.

I noticed that too. The clock stayed at 31 sec, for what seemed like 5 seconds or so. :confused2:

Nope. 2 pt attempts are their only little world. No time runs and the play is blown deadly immediately if the ball is turned over.

sorry it took so long. I had other things to do this morning.
