SNF @ Baltimore - Do You Think We'll Get Flexed Out?

Nope, and we'd better not as I have concert tickets earlier in the day and I specifically bought them because I would be home to see the Pats play the Ravens later that night!

Sunday afternoon concert?

Surely you can catch "The Wiggles" in the offseason!

it probably won't be, but there are some other games of value

chiefs/colts
panthers/saints in pantherland
cardinals/seahawks

I am actually surprised it wasn't a primetime game to begin with. The rematch of the AFCCG should have been a clear Sunday night game.

That said, I don't know if they will flex it now and NBC may have protected it already.

huh?

It was a Sunday night game since the schedule came out and given the whole flexing thing the Sunday night game can never be protected. The NFL just opts not to flex another game in.

Cardinals/seahawks... I wouldn't want to see that there anyways

That would be fantastic since I have tix to this one and we are dreading an 830PM game on Dec 23rd. Also, not thrilled about having to go home at that time of night in downtown Baltimore.

It will not be flexed out. The Saints can't have another primetime game flexed in and there's no reason to have this game a game between two teams competing for playoff spots flexed out in the first place, which the rules require.

It's Tom Brady and the Patriots and the defending Super Bowl champs in what should be a meaningful game with playoff implications. NBC's not gonna flex it.

No way they diss defending SB Champs!:nono:

No the Saints can have one more game flexed in. They are at 5 NFL rules allow 3 teams to have six games and 4 NBC games. They are at. 5 primetime games and 2 NBC games.

And the playoff rule doesn't actually exist. The can flex out any game that is not protected or violates 6 games for 3 teams or 5 for rest.

For what it's worth, Fox did not choose to protect the Saints v. Panthers game. They instead opted to hold onto to Dallas @ Washington. And as others have pointed out, the Saints could have one more primetime game.

IMO football should be played at 1:00 PM on Sunday, so I hope so.

I'm with you. I rarely watch a complete night game anymore.

It's all the commercials that make me zonk out.

Ok, I thought it was a Sunday night game, but I misunderstood this thread and thought it is an early game that could get flexed into a night game and I was mistaken that it was a night game. I guess reading comprehension isn't my strong suit today.

My wife has been on me since the schedule came out to make a trip to the DC/BAL area to see double games that day, since her Cowboys play at 1:00 in DC, and the Pats play in BAL at 8:30. Recently I decided that I didn't want to sit outside in the bitter cold and wind for 7-8+ hrs in back to back games, not to mention the 1,000 dollars plus it would have cost us only three days prior to Xmas.

Hearing this news about the possibility of it being pushed up (although I doubt it will be myself) makes me very grateful that I didn't waste all of that money, hotel reservations, etc.

Pats=Ravens are a bigger matchup ratings wise than Saints=Panthers. They are not flexing that game out.

Pats, Ravens, Steelers, Broncos and all the NFC East teams are huge ratings draws for the league.

Let me guess: Trans-Siberian Orchestra?

I think you might, just maybe, be able to find some Redskins tix for cheap if you do decide to come down. Check Craigslist and stubhub. People couldn't give them away last week (and I am being literal).

I don't like night games in Baltimore - it just smells trouble.
