The Official Patriots vs Texans Postgame thread

I feel like this was Brady's best game in years. He was strong and competitive in the pocket. He really looked like Brady before the knee injury in 2008. Making plays in the face of a pass rush. Really diggin deep. I loved his performance today.

Help the man out!

People have to remember that for many teams, the Pats are the team to beat. For Carolina, it was their Super Bowl. For Houston, this was their payback for last year. The Pats are the measuring stick by which all other teams measure themselves. Thus, we always get the other teams A game.

Doesn't matter if you've never run a specific defense before, if you line up and make it so painfully obvious what's about to happen, any QB never mind Tom Brady is going to decipher it pre-snap.

Jamie Dukes and Darren Sharper were asked who the best team in the AFC is after the highlights of the Texans game on NFL Network. They both said the best team is the Patriots but they were squirming like they were about to get a root canal. They acknowledged Belichick's ability to game plan and the Pats being battle tested.

"G-15 classified"? That's a completely fictional Chris Tucker line from "Rush Hour" and even then, he got that line wrong; it's "… G14 classified."

Fun fact #2: the current top-ranked run defenses in the NFL are NYJ and JAX.

Fun fact #1: it's been 5 years since a team with a run defense ranked in the top half of the league won the Superbowl.

IOW, this isn't the stat that's going to keep me awake at night.
