Glanced at the Texans forums to see what their thoughts are about playing us. Didn't expect much confidence given their record and performance this season. But, man...these boards right now read like a squad of gerbils readying to defend the Normandy landings.

Take a look if you're in the mood for an ego boost :D

Patriots vs Texans Predictions ...Will the patriots run the score up - Houston Texans Message Boards

Some good comic material:

Patriots 73 - 3

Bullock makes a 59 yard field goal. Signs 7 year / **42 million 100% guaranteed extension 2 hours after the game.

Patriots 85
Texans 6

Just to make it interesting Beli is gonna have their D play both ways and still beat us.

or maybe Brady will be forced to use local children as receivers. After the game Brice McCain comments on giving up 2 TD strike to a 6 yr old

We're DOOMED!!! The Pats are going to beat us forty thousand billion trillion to 3.

Actually I was just kidding about the 3. I think we can score two FGs in-between all their TDs.

If Chad Henne gashed this defense just imagine the inhumane treatment Brady has in store.

Heh. Sounds a lot like the post-game (and often, in-game) threads here on Patsfans :D

Thank you for this, I did get a bit of a fan ego boost. :D

I haven't really followed the Texans closely this season, or seen any of their games, so it really blows my mind that they've lost 9 in a row. That's something we can't wrap our heads around, I can understand their frustration and throwing in the towel. Not even the Jets lose 9 in a row.

That said, having not watched them closely, other than a change to a rookie QB, it's so hard for me to separate them from the challenging team from last year. It's funny that Pats fans probably fear this game on the whole more than Texans fans, and that takes into account the trap game factor.

I must say, I haven't watched much of the Texans beside knowing that they are pretty bad. After reading their forum, I've never felt more confident in a Patriots victory.

85 - 6 would be cool. I miss hearing how the evil Patriots run up the score and the Broncos ability to score is pure genius and skill.

I dunno, I guess I'm trapped in 2012 thinking with how talented the Texans are. If they decided to rise up for a game, I think they can make it interesting for sure. I think the Pats win, but it won't be an epic beatdown. I just can't see it. Too much talent, too much pride, and you know teams always get up to play the Patriots.

The only thing I think will stop a truly resurgent Texans team is the fact that they're missing key guys on offense and Andre Johnson seems to have thrown in the towel for the year.

Texan board has to be one of the lamest for NFL teams (note only some 300 posts for a game day thread). Not much football knowledge on that board

...Any given Sunday. I don't underestimate any team in this league. Hopefully either do the Pats.

Every game against the Pats is that teams 'superbowl', and most bring their A game. No team, even a Texans team thats lost 9 in a row, can be taken lightly by the Pats.

Massacare? Is that a derivative of Obamacare?

This game is going to be like a middle/high school game where one team is significantly better, record wise, than the other. It's going to be a game until the Pats go up by more than 2 scores, then the Texans will just go thru the motions.

The problem down there is leadership. Put Belichick in charge and no way they are 2-9.

Surprised to hear that. We've had some very well-informed (and classy) Houston fans on this board when we've played the Texans in the past. In my experience, football is one area that Texans can be relied on to be knowledgeable about. ;)

Massacare? Is that a derivative of Obamacare?

First thing I thought when I saw the title...thought maybe Mass was finally disowning Romney once and for all by taking his name off his healthcare plan

Trap game waiting to happen. Andre Johnson and jj watt still play for texans. Can't underestimate them. Forget about records!!

Texans are tanking it.

They've given up on the Matt Schaub Experiment after a steady stream of pick sixes. Now they need a franchise quarterback. Every loss means an improved chance at getting Teddy Bridgewater.

Owen Daniels got hurt. Arian Foster got hurt. Brian Cushing got hurt.

They still have their defensive line. I think they signed Brent Grimes last offseason, but they don't have enough quality CBs to play us the way that the Jets, Panthers, and Bengals played us.

Andre Johnson is now a malcontent leaving the field with time left on the clock.

I am much more concerned about playing the Browns on Dec. 8th as they have a really good defense with some really good corners. Their issue has been keeping a QB healthy and not enough weapons on offense though Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron have both surprised me.

I just hope we come through this game healthy and that Ridley can build some confidence for the stretch run.

Not so sure about that....
