OT: What are you doing for thanksgiving ?

Much like 102 Pat, I, being of humble Canadian heritage will be celebrating Thanksgiving over a month ago.
But I wish a happy turkey day to all happy fans here rejoicing this weekend. Hoping for a great weekend of football. May a giant meteor strike Met Life Stadium and all visiting Pats fans return from Houston safely.

The 'rents are in from ol' New England (Hampton NH) so I'm going for it and trying brining the turkey for the first time. Hopefully Alton Brown and the 4579 who gave it great reviews know what they're talking about, cuz it's kind of a lot of work! Good Eats Roast Turkey Recipe : Alton Brown : Recipes : Food Network

The kids will watch the parade, we'll eat, thank the good Lord his many blessings... and then we'll all gather 'round and watch the DVR'd Pats/Broncos game which my dad only saw the first half of - fast forwarding to the beginning of the 3rd quarter of course. Thanks Tom and BB! :rocker:

Going to my aunts house then staying at my parents for the weekend, haven't been home in a couple months

my daughter and son in law will be coming over. We are doing Thanksgiving and Christmas together since he deploys next week.

menu is turkey, filet, twice baked potao, stuffing, stuffed mushrooms, corn, pie, booze

Happy thanksgiving everyone

not much...just me my mom and dad...will be watching football entire day

Breaking my father in law out of the home, will watch football with him until he falls asleep...

A nice relaxing day of eating ... talking ... and reminiscing ... as good as it gets. ;)

My wife ... kids ... daughter in law and son in law.

I might surprise them with a few vintage VHS recordings from their youth. :p

We don't do turkey ... we do lobster tails, stuffed shrimp and ham in my tribe. :hungry:

Enjoy your day everyone ...
my 14th year here of wishing PatsFans & families a Happy Thanksgiving.

My older son (25) arrived from Chicago on Saturday (spent many enjoyable hours with him in Foxboro on Sunday). Younger son (22) lives at home so here's here already. My parents arrived this afternoon. Tomorrrow will also be hosting siblings, nieces, nephews and their kids.

Big turkey in the oven, smaller turkey being smoked outside on the grill. Very strong possibility (near 100%) of consumption of carbonated malt beverages and fermented grape juice products while watching air-puffed oblate spheroid objects fly through the air.

And, of course, there will be pie.

We'll try to wedge dinner in between the Detroit and Dallas games and then try to remain conscious for the Baltimore-Pittsburgh nightcap.

Best wishes to all Patriots fans (and everyone else for that matter) and their families for a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving!

I may do a little workout in the morning. That way I can condone the excessive eating I'll be doing tomorrow.
Friday we'll be breaking out the Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas music. I've got little kids. It's a great time of year and I really look forward to it at this stage of my life.

Unfortunately, stuck going to a restaurant with my wife and her large family of 50 or so, but it is what it is. Since they are all Cowboys fans it's become a pattern to watch Romo and company as the height of the day's events.

I long for the traditional days of eating "regular" Thanksgiving day food, but sometimes we get stuck doing things for our significant other that we're not thrilled to do.

The good news is that there are many blessings for all of us--so that is what's definitely most important.

Happy Thanksgiving to all out there, and have a safe and enjoyable holiday!

I'm flying out to L.A. and look up this chick named Chris....

You have room for six more? We can cancel our plans.

Got my turkey in the oven at 6:40 am. The rest of the meal is traditional - stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, corn, bean casserole (Mom insists on it and I have to take a few bites to keep the peace!), all doused with a generous slosh of gravy. It's not boring because I don't make it any other time of the year! A nice Savignon Blanc from New Zealand will keep me sane. Hopefully I won't spill the drippings on the heating element in the oven like I did about 10 years ago. The house filled with smoke and the fire alarm went off for about 2 hours. Good times! Happy Turkey Day to all!! Stay safe and happy out there!

I'm British, so work. But I'll be home at half 5 just as the first game kicks off. I'll order a big curry, have a few beers and watch all 3 games. It's become tradition for me, I love thanksgiving.

My own family bailed on me for Thanksgiving (they would rather just swing by for dessert) so we invited friends instead. Friends and football, that sounds good to me.

As a Canuck, married to an American woman, I get to enjoy two thanksgivings and all the good and enjoyable times offered up with them.

In a little bit we will be crossing over the border and meeting up with my in-laws so that we may enjoy each others company and celebrate and give thanks for all the good that is in all of our lives. The TV will be on and eyes will be glued to the games.

Getting ready to head to my Sons house with a pot of mashed taters and turnips and a cold 30 pack. Going to deep fry the bird this year. Good food, football, and a lot of hugging the grandbabies.
