Calvin 'OMG' Johnson -- 329 yards receiving!!!

The rules make it almost impossible to compare passing stats across generations.

CJ is still a ****ing monster.

imagine if Brady had a guy like him

on a side note. Dallas' D is abysmal. firing rob Ryan was a stupid move.

But yet his team goes consistently nowhere.

He was so good that he had Dez Bryant ready to fight all his teammates on the sideline. He wanted to match Johnson catch-for-catch. What a selfish d*mn player. I'm so glad we didn't draft him like so many fans wanted, and I'm saying that despite our offensive struggles at the WR position.

This guy is better than Moss was.
That's debatable, but Moss was way more of a threat downfield and had greater speed than Megatron at the same age. Johnson's definitely one of the greats of all time though. He's the best WR in the NFL today bar none. He put on a show today.

That's Madden stats on rookie difficulty. Wow!!

Johnson better than Moss? Please...

Call me when Johnson gets another 500 receptions, 8000 yards and about 100 TDs.

The freak was easily more gifted and far more of a threat + CJ gets targeted like 30 times a game and Moss spent most of his prime with some pretty mediocre QBs

Agreed, Megatron is a generational type receiver. 6'5" 240 and runs a 4.35, catches everything, and beats triple teams !

BUT, Moss and Rice played in an era where you could beat up on receivers. Rice is the greatest of all time, but Moss might have been the most talented AND explosive receiver ever. His FIRST Monday night game ever he caught 5 passes for 190 yards (38 ypc) and 2 TDs. AND he had a 76 yard TD pass called back on a holding penalty. Imagine 6 catches for 266 yards and 3 TDs as a rookie on your first Monday night game ever if it wasn't for a holding call. Insane. Even playing for the Pats in his first season he was beating triple coverage (when he felt like it lol). Moss was just insanely talented and explosive.

Megatron is more physical though, and may go down as one of the alltime greats.

'way more' is an exaggeration. I'm assuming you've watched both play, so you should know that already. Moss may have been a slightly better downfield threat, but Johnson is still an all-time great in that area.

I remember the 2007 NFL draft. Many of us who saw him at G Tech said he would be this dominant. He was already this good in college. Some of us (including myself) said he was so good it was worth trading an entire draft for him. The good thing is that the Patriots brought in Randy Moss that year and put such discussions to rest.

But, you don't get lucky drafting a Johnson. He was already good.

I wouldn't call it an exaggeration. Moss was the greatest deep threat in the history of the NFL. Megatron while good in that area, doesn't compare to Moss.

Moss in his prime had better speed (considerably), ball skills (considerably), body control (considerably), hands, and their leaping ability was about the same. Johnson's good, but he ain't no Moss as a deep threat.

Moss was a shell of himself in NE. He was uncoverable with the Vikings.

Exactly.

Even during his record breaking season in 2007 he was already starting to show his age and declining skills. He wasn't the same receiver that he was in prime during his Minnesota years. What he lacked in physical ability, he made up for in his 10 years of NFL experience. Even then in 2007 despite blowing by corners with ease, he relied more on his veteran savvy than his raw ability like he did in Minny.

Moss was the most dangerous offensive weapon I've ever seen during his Viking days.
