BB still isn't over the jets loss

Didn't they win their first game of the season on a bogus last second call as well? The good news, if we meet again this season, there is NO WAY the Jets win that game!

Yeah they won the first game on a bogus call. We have to move on, and a win next week would be awesome!

LOL, yeah Coples flung 325# Mo Wilk over the center, much more blatant then Pats push, bogus call, LOL

This is like the gift that keeps on giving, I feel like the Jets are running up the score still.

The Pats should of known the rule. What's the old saying, negligence of the law is no excuse.

Honestly if the shoe was on the other foot I would be Pissed also, what ya going to do?

I beg to differ just a tad...the Pats should have known that Wrecks was going to pull something to make himself Green Hero and further vilify the man and the organization that has roadblocked his maniacal quest to be at once universally loved and adored by all. He practically blurted it out the week leading up with the preposterous "no sex" story and the idiotic ramblings of submoron rookies and vets.

I think Belichick thought it was all the usual empty big mouth gas from Blabba and never suspected that Blabba Jr. would call from N.O. and concoct this Ryan ruse. It worked. Ryan is on top of the world. Everybody is all aglow in post orgasm bliss....and Cincy looms.

The Bengals shut down the Jets offense this weekend and you'll think the Pittsburgh loss was a romp in the swamp.

Rex Ryan doesn't know the rule either.

Rex's defender lined up even with the snapper's shoulder pads. That's a violation of the same rule.

all Jet fans have categorically denied this to be factual. In fact, every one of them posting at J.I. in the pertinent thread deny the Jets did anything wrong. 100%.

I ran this by my cousin who lives out in Seattle. He's a Seasquawk homer and he hates Brady and the Pats. After the usual nut busting and Patriot bashing he did acknowledge that the fans out there talked about this play and talked about how Ryan pulled a fast one. He laughed again at the Jets doing the exact same thing and also sent me pics of Seattle doing the same thing on different plays this season. His wife is a sainted Pats fan and got on the phone and told me HE was shut off for the rest of the week. I asked him how he felt and he just said "FCUK the Jets..they suck anyway"...

What a joke. Penalty or not, the Jets were the better team that day. Except for one or two crazies, everyone on this forum was saying exactly the same thing immediately after the game--no excuses, they outplayed us. Sometimes the other team just plays better and you get beat. Deal with it and move on.

Belichick should however be pissed at himself for fielding a below-average offensive team this year, injuries or not. When you have Tom Brady, that is unacceptable.

He should be made he was out coached and lost to a less talented roster. A lot has been made about GM Bill's shortfalls but coach Bill is not without fault.

Honestly they played about equal, but becuase the Pats played down to the level of the Jets it seems like we played worse.

The Patriots were shut out by the Bills, and lost to horrible teams, in years they won the SB. It happens. We know they lost--you all aren't adding anything to the conversation. I'm sure Belichick was kicking himself after the season for those losses.

It doesn't matter how little of a push Coples gave. According to Jerome Boger, it's any push that warrants a flag.

"Any push. It could be with the body, not necessarily with the hand, but with the body into his teammate, into the formation. It’s any type of pushing action."

Florio called the Coples push "a fairly mild one-armed shove" when, from the replay, the Coples shove sent the guy he was pushing head-over-heels, literally flipping over the top of Aiken.

what a crock.

I think Bedard said something similar, pretending he could divine Coples thoughts and intentions on that play as well as how many foot-pounds of force he exerted.

I'm really not sure why they are trying to minimize what the Jets did on that play. Whether another teammate slingshotted Coples into the line so he could deliver the maximum shove or if he applied the same amount of force the average person uses to flick a light switch, his actions constituted a penalty under the new rule.

The thing is, officials miss things every game, from PI to holding to ruling a pass that hit the ground complete. Just come out and say it could have been called, but the officials missed it. None of this "Well, it barely qualified as a shove. It may have belonged in the 'nudge' family, so..."

What you'd expect, when you click the link...

Bill Belichick says Jets cheated too, used same field-goal push but without a penalty

I mean come on. Anything to do with a rule, BB will never get good coverage on. Unless you're a Pats fan, you will go back to cameragate or else go back to the Tuck rule.

I'll say now what I said to the Raiders whiners, even though there were no "other" tucks ruled differently that game: Sometimes the breaks go to the other guy. This isn't an OT game if we're taking care of business... it's the JEST.

This year we're not that juggernaut we're used to and most teams in most weeks are in dogfights.

This is the kind of fuel you don't get when you beat everybody by 30. Nasty way to toughen guys up and focus the mind, but it might even have a salutary effect.

BB hates the Jets and the fact that the "commissioner" is a shill for them.

That was from yesterday.

That was about as emphatic a statement you will ever get from BB that he thinks we were jobbed. He's right.

Now we've moved on.

We were definitely jobbed. The Jets refs used their 'discretion' to turn an honest tough fought overtime contest into a joke win for the home team.

He's entitled to vent a little for that!

Whatever if the Pats had played a better game they wouldn't have been in position to be at the mercy of the refs. Can't trust Goodell's henchmen from here on out, that's for sure.

Move on to Miami and play better I think is the mantra we'll soon hear at Gilette.

Surprising that even the media agrees we got jobbed. Nothing we can do about it though. The refs were 'technically' right even if by the spirit of the rule that's not what it was intended to stop. Hope we get a rule clarification/revision though. Because this is BS as of now. There's ALWAYS pushing going on in a field goal attempt from BOTH sides.

Those two clowns are the only two who think that. It is a penalty and was the right call.

Love that the idiots think the refs should have looked the other way. That in their minds not throwing a flag on a play that had a clear cut penalty in it would have been fair, would have made more sense. Somehow penalizing the Jets by looking the other way makes more sense to them

Wonder why every commentator who played the game or is part of the game along with the current and past head of officiating said that it was clearly the right call. But Bayless and Smith don't agree, shocking.

BTW, the players are the one that argued for the rule change and got it.

They looked the other way for the past 7 weeks. When they do call it they do so at a point where it entirely decides the outcome of a game. In the end the Jets didn't win the game the officials gave it to them. Its a crappy way to end a game and Jets fans will have to live with the empty victory that was handed to them.

Stuff happens, we move on.

We've been running it up for three years, we figured we'd give you guys a feeling. Don't worry I know its not something you are used. It will pass soon enough.
