For me the best part of this win was the fact that the Saints are GOOD. Really good.

We think the team is good and congraulations on the win . wtg Pats.
But we do wonder when the offense will start up. I was watching at my bros house making them hot wings, and they have a new babe, so cute, but he was saying to me ( hes a redskin fan).. this is not the same offense I remember, their constantly stuck or hit for 3rd and longs. Where are the dink and donks for short yardage, the feeling that they own the field. The crazy plays. They seem like they are struggling.

Truth is he hit the nail on the head. The rest was blah blah blah, as Ive said here. The offense is struggling and still learning. We're not sure what its becoming, but it hasnt started yet, and SP's new schemes and plays from offseason are not exactly hitting yet. Thier are flashes of it working, but then its gone, then back again, lol
I truely believe this offense might not gel until after the bye or maybe even game 10. The plays look to difficult, and theres alot of miss fires.

This was a great game for us on the road, and we learned alot. We needed this game. I know we all appreciate the class of the patriot fans, and players, and its so hard to find good games like these to make a team grow. We are both so much better for this game. Yeah, we are good, but Patriots are better right now.

And when was the last time anyone talked about NE's defense this way? I've been saying all season that I see a different swagger. I see a D that's confident and believes they can beat a team up. The LB's have covered better and have been monsters in the run game. The secondary has covered better (Talib and Dennard are for real). The D-Line hasn't shown consistent pressure, but they've pressured the QB when it has mattered most. This team is a top five D as far as I'm concerned.

If you change the SP for JMcD then word for word you could have been posting about the Pats.

Remember last year on this forum when people thought Talib got too much praise and didn't deserve a contract? Well thank God he is back with us for at least this year because he is a GAME-CHANGER. Has brought our D to the Top 5 this year. Pay the man.

I will give it to you offensively .And even there I think brees is more like jump ball QB. Not still sold on their Defense. If our oline wasnt a sieve today we couldve had our way with them.We had 6 pts in the 2nd half vs them until the last 10 seconds but a lot was our undoing.

OK, but name me a team who is a clear juggernaut both offensively and defensively. It doesn't exist. We're talking in relative terms here and the Saints are one of, if not the, top NFC teams. They were undefeated coming in here and they showed several times why they are so very, very dangerous.

I get a heck of a lot more excited about a win like this than a last second comeback over a schlub team. It just means more.

The Saints will figure it out. You have a stud in that Stills kid.

Brees has to stop looking for Graham, and start looking to the WRs more. And I don't know why you went away from Sproles. He killed the Patriots on passes.

First team to score 20 points off them this year, granted they've played the Falcons, Bucs, Cards, Dolphins and Bears

Dallas made a big mistake by letting Rob Ryan go - Ryan had to deal with 5 injuries last year, and his D still played very well. His D was pretty good the year prior.

The team has underperformed over those 2 years b/c of Jason Garrett - those blown 4th quarter leads were on HIM. Wade Phillips, in all fairness, knew how to manage and made adjustments once this team got doubt digit leads. However, the Dallas sports media and fans somehow expected Wade to blow out every opponent he faced.

What exactly are you trying to say here? The Falcons and Dolphins are in the top half of the league in scoring, while the Bears are #3 in points per game. The Falcons would actually be in the top 10 if they hadn't faced the Saints D, so while the team may suck, the offense is still pretty good.

Sure, the Bucs suck, but the Cardinals have been semi-decent and hit 20 points in 4 of 6 games, including against a tough Detroit Lions defense.

Take nothing away from the Saints, they're an excellent team and a definite Super Bowl contender. And they were 5 seconds away from beating us and being undefeated so let's not get carried away either.

Bottom line is every team wins some and loses some - problems? It seems like a lot of teams in this league have problems. Look at Denver - 6-0 but near bottom in pass defense. KC's Alex Smith is just decent, but not great. Seattle is pretty flawed. NFC North has 3 good teams, but they have their problems too.

On the contrary, look at Atlanta and Houston - many problems and many losses.
