wow...WHO is going to stop the broncos this year?

I don't want to see this Super Bowl matchup, because it would mean that the Patriots wouldn't be there, but it would be very interesting to see the Seattle defense go up against this Denver offense. And I think Lynch would pound the hell out of Denver's D. That would be a tremendous game.

And the Dolphins and Chiefs are on pace for an undefeated season.

These "on pace" stats mean absolutely nothing. Especially just 4 games in!

Sure it does, it means they've played a quarter of the season and they are more than a quarter of the way there.

Comparing it to an undefeated season is foolish, because only one loss negates the achievement. In the case of accumulated stats, one bad week will not keep them from achieving the goal.

No worries, man. It's fine if you want to live in Patriots fantasy land. I don't care.

The Broncos have a really good Offense think about it Welker is probably the slowest yet quickest WR on their roster. But D. Thomas - E. Decker and TE: Julius Thomas are really Big and Fast! they force mismatches at almost every position. I don't think we beat em short handed I think we'll have to be at full strenght.

KC will do to the donkeys exactly what they did to the Packers in 2011. ;)

Ooooooh, if only the football gods have set up the AFCW to play the NFCW this year, especially with the donkeys having to go on the road and play Seattle at CL…. The blue birds defense would have knocked the ***** out of that donkeys offense. In my wildest dreams…. Manning was smart to pick the team in the $hittiest division in the league.

I don't believe Manning is cold weather qb, and when that mercury starts to fall, I think he will be very much affected. Weather is the great equalizer and he can have all the toys he wants but if he can't get the ball to those toys, they are in trouble....that is what i truly believe.

The return of Gronk, Amendola. and Vereen will have the Patriots sporting the better offense. This sets up well for November.

In the meantime. let Manning mow down the dregs.

One thing i dont get. all these teams which played the broncos, how are letting everyone on the broncos beat them. At least stop/shutdown/double one guy and force him to go elsewhere. No one seems to be able/want to do this stuff it seems. Not saying its going to work but dont know if any defense which plays them goes in with some plan other than "we need to get to manning".

This confuses me as well. I would put my best coverage player on Welker, double Demaryius with my second best CB and a Safety and make them beat me with Decker.

We've had the absolute worst luck with injuries this year

Hopefully karma comes full circle and Manning breaks one of his right fingers :mad2:

Hopefully Bill does something like this. I feel like it would also be important to be VERY physical with Welker at the line of scrimmage

they have played against some of the worst teams in the nfl.

There is nothing confusing about it. The giants have gotten blown out of every game, the only reason that they had a shot in teh first game is because the cowboys are pretty bad themselves.

The eagles are pretty horrible.

the raiders? lol

Baltimore has no offense, and their defense is trash.

Soon as the broncos come up against a team that actually plays like it actually wants to be there you will see the broncos falter.

Baltimore tried putting their best CB on Thomas and doubling/bracketing Welker, and then tried exactly what you're suggesting. How'd that work for them?

Baltimore's defense isn't very good?

I think teams have tried similar tactics, but the problem is Manning has gotten more patient in his old age. Besides the fact that Decker is pretty good and "forcing the Broncos to beat you with Decker" may still burn you, he's got a good TE in Thomas that you have to account for, and he's not shy about checking down to the running back.

Also, not many teams have a cover guy that can consistently keep up with Welker one on one in the slot. I'm not sure the Patriots do.

The Broncos are not unstoppable, despite evidence to the contrary. As the weather gets colder we'll see how they respond and adjust. But right now, the way they're playing, you have to be perfect to stop them, and the teams they've played thus far don't have the horses to be perfect.

Decker have shown that he can pull his own weight in that Offense...he's as good a #2 WR as any. Also people seen to forget about that young TE Denver is sporting Julius Thomas he's a guy that a stretch the Defense down the seams. Julius Thomas is a nice up and coming TE who has all the tools to be a Antonio Gates type TE.

What I don't get is Tony Dungy said last night that Manning will be even better in November because he is still getting to know his receivers. What?!? It is taking him a year and a half to get know his receivers? Other than Welker, what receiver does he have that wasn't on that team all last year?

Hooray for sportsmanship and class!!!

One team will beat him and it will be on a cold sunday night in Foxboro.

The Broncos look good and are clicking on all cylinders. Manning deserves the credit, but his post-season mediocrity should not be ignored. I am kind of looking forward to seeing him and Welker in the post-season. Two of the most clutch guys ever in the post-season. If we stay our course and keep improving, or match-up will be very interesting. I am looking forward to seeing Manning play the Chiefs - that could actually be a great one. Long way to go - anything can happen - but the Broncos will be a handful.
