Kid looks like a Brady clone. Compact throwing motion, tight spiral, ball fakes, he's running the Patriots offense. Needs a lot of footwork improvement, quicker release, but he's a freshman just out of HS. He scans the field well.
Which is why I'm mentioning him. He could easily come out in 3 years when Brady will be 40

I refuse to even contemplate a non-Brady Pats team. I am enjoying the ride.

wha???.... Professor Hackenbush???

A QB with a 36% completion rate seems more like a Sanchez clone than a Brady clone to me.

He was 71% for the season coming into this game, after this he'll be around 60-62%

And didn't Brady just go 19 for 39?

Brady has had a less than 55% completion percentage in a handful of games over a 13 year career.

Hackenburg has had a less than 40% completion percentage one time in 4 games.

Please don't compare them.

Handful?

He's had 29 games in his career of under 55% and if it was 55% and under it's 34 games.

A lot of guys can look like Brady as a player, not many can think like Brady as a player.

I'm talking about his statline today. 13 for 35 now.

Sorry but this is cherry picking, really not an accurate way of assessing someone's performance.

Kid is legit. I am surprised he has been as good as he has. Very good QB for a true freshmen.

Hackenburg has a sample size of four games. I'm choosing one, which is his most recent and also 25% of what data I have to use. Are you familiar with statistics? Obviously the standard deviation could be quite large with such a sample size, but the premise of this thread is ridiculous and that's all I'm trying to show.

Does Brady fumble the ball with nobody around him while he's starting his throwing motion? This Hackenberg kid sure does...I've seen him do it in 3 different games.:bricks:

I'm quite familiar with statistics, and one of the problems with relying on them is that they seldom give context. You can talk smack about a QB for a low completion % but if his receivers have butterfingers it's not taken into account when those numbers are tabulated.

As far as this thread being ridiculous, this entire board is ridiculous, why the hell are we discussing and speculating on things that we have little knowledge about and even less power over? Because it's FUN!

If someone looks at Hackenburg's play and it reminds them of Brady I don't have a problem with them talking about it, it'd be more interesting if they posted some clips of gifs so I could observe and respond.

I don't know about Brady-clone, probably not a good idea to compare a Frosh in college to the GOAT QB, but he has been extremely impressive as a true freshman, only 18 years old. He's got a bright future at Penn St and possibly in the NFL.
