As a Broncos fan, I'm certainly pleased.
Quick hits:
--
Our running game will only be decent once our passing game is established. Eventually Montee Ball could be a threat, but for now, Knowshon is reliable for a few yards and Hillman is dangerous in open space--but neither of them are great RBs.
--The fact that
we don't have a great RB seems like it could be irrelevant. Baltimore's defense looked awful tonight, don't get me wrong, but I think at worst they're an AVERAGE defense. There are definitely worse defenses than them, which is scary
--I've been a huge fan of Julius Thomas for a while. He's still kind of a project, but he's got a ton of potential and you can see why. Team's will now have to account for him, but there's only so much you can do against someone that physical, big and athletic. The best part about him? He's an EXCELLENT pass blocker.
--When was the last time (has it ever happened before?) that 3 WR had 2 TDs in a game?
--Peyton's arm strength: I don't think it's much worse than last year. Remember, he looked like crap from an arm strength perspective all year. It matters, but only so much; a smart QB knows his strengths and weaknesses and adjusts for them. Peyton does just that. I have no doubt it'll cost him a few INTs during the season, but if he plays like he did tonight we'll be just fine.

Our defense will be fine. Baltimore's O also sucks, but the run D looked fantastic (way better than expected) and while
our pass rush wasn't great, it looks like we can figure it out without Von for now. When he's back (and when Champ is healthy)
our D could very well be top 10 in the league again.
--Ultimately, all that matters is the Super Bowl, but as I'm sure you all know quite well, it makes the next few months a lot more enjoyable when your team can put up performances like that.
Can't wait to be at Gillette wearing my Wes Welker Pats jersey in a few months!
