Who should still be worried?

Kline, and Ebner. Neither of them seem long for the roster, and could be first cuts when the team is in need of space.

You mean if we pick up more than two additional players? Perhaps.

OFFENSE
It seems that one of the RB's is extra if we add a TE.

Kline is certainly is open for upgrade at his position.

DEFENSE
I suspect that Ebner is here to stay, if he is healthy. he was a top special teamer last year. Besides, we have only 23 on defense and defensive special teamers. This seem at least 2 positions short.

Kline (not McDonald) is of course a target for a 1-for-1 upgrade.

And yes, if Ebner's injury lingers, he's a candidate for IR at best.

But now that we're down at 51, other guys can breathe at least a little easier.

I don't think that there is a waiver wire after the final 53.

I had the same question. Are you sure about that? If so, I be excited to see who they could lure here.

I'm not sure, but I have been corrected, yet.

In any case, Belichick will definitely add and cut more players in the next couple of weeks.

I don't think that there is a waiver wire after the final 53.

There is for players with less than 4 seasons under their belt. Vested veterans do not require waivers. Pats are near the end of the line, I wouldn't get too excited about certain players (DT'S) as they are likely to be claimed by another team ahead of the Patriots.

I don't think that there is a waiver wire after the final 53.

EVERY time a player who has yet to reach unrestricted free agency is cut, he must pass through waivers (e.g., the Ventrone yo-yo).

Moreover, from the trade deadline through the end of the season, EVERY player, regardless of status, must pass through waivers (e.g., Moss after he was cut by the Vikings).

Ebner made the 53 without playing a single down during the pre-season.

Not saying he's a given to stay, but I'm guessing BB is more likely to IR Ebner than release him.

My guesses: Leon Washington & Marquise Cole.

Who should be worried now?

EBNER
should not be worried. He will not be cut. At worst he will be put on one of the IR lists.

My suggestions are KLINE, one of the recently signed OL, and Beauharnais (who may have been just upgraded).

Kline, Develin, Vellano & Ebner represent the deadwood of the roster.
Each of those guys can and should be easily upgraded.

You mention Ebner because you think that he's a safety. IMHO, he is no more a safety than Slater is a wide receiver.
