Do we have the worst WR corps in the NFL

Please tell me exactly what the system is and how it works, I’m very eager to know.

If putting any scrub QB in our system results in a bunch of wins I’m surprised other teams aren’t adopting our system.

Yes, I am eager to know as well.

When a Patriots hater can answer those questions, I'll be happy to share. :)

I guess you didn't catch the tongue-in-cheekedness if that's a word....

Eh, the Pats receivers certainly aren't spectacular, but they're not as bad as they looked in preseason.

you are probably being sarcastic, but considering our top 4 receivers are in the top 30 out of all receivers in the league. i would say they didn't exactly show bad at all.

Well Adam Seward is available so that would probably be the obvious first move to make make.......maybe draft a WR who is not a "munchkin"...........draft Connor Barwin........improve the pass rush.......get someone in here who knows how to draft.....more emphasis on the run game.......what am I missing?

Try replacing the batteries in your sarcasm detector?

I've seen that argument many times on this board and it's not as though there were any emoticons indicating he was being sarcastic.

Try replacing your lack of manners.

Good laugh. Amendola has looked every good as Welker in the limited action we've seen, and one thing is for sure: based on the amount of money he was given, the Patriots FO definitely thinks he is an upgrade over Welker.

People are enthralled by Brandon Lloyd's whopping 910 yards but don't realize that based on yards per target, he was one of the worst receivers in the Brady era. He was so great that no other team will even sign him to the vet's minimum right now. Kenbrell Thompkins already looks as good as any X receiver we've seen, including Branch, Ochocinco (what a bust!), and Lloyd.

You are really complaining about our #4 receiver? Who happens to be a rookie with tremendous upside.

Eh, the Pats receivers certainly aren't spectacular, but they're not as bad as they looked in preseason.

Honestly, I think the problem is that Brady has lost his love of the game. And it really shows in how he manages his young receivers.

I just want to say that this is one of the best usernames I have ever seen. Are you a marine biologist, an architect, in the latex business, or are you doing import/export these days?

Our number 1 is Danny Amendola, probably the most unproven, injury prone # 1 WR in the NFL

Our number 2 is an undrafted, unproven NFL ROOKIE K Thompkins

Our number 3 is julian edelman, a well below average WR, a huge downgrade

Our number 4 is Aaron Dobson. Loaded with potential but only a ROOKIE, unproven, and he cannot even beat out Julian Edelman? :bricks:

Look at the WR corps Peyton Manning has, blows our WRs corps away

Agreed, luckily we have one of the best running QB's in the league.

This team reminds me of 2001 for some reason...hopefully the end result will be the same.

I mean, if we throw to Amendola, he might sprain a muscle and go to IR. Edelman might think he is still a QB and throw the ball a second time. Dobson clearly can't get any separation so any throw to him is 50/50. And this Thompkins guy might throw a punch. And then there is no one else on the roster.

Yeah, we should just run on every down, even on 4th since our ST sucks.

Wait... Doesn't our RBs have fumbling issues?

Damn, I guess we should just forfeit all the games so we can get some real talent in the draft next year.

The concern we have, as fans, certainly isn't shared by the team as they let go of any veteran options. I'd think playing with Brady has to speed up the learning curve of any rookie and, despite Thompkins looking the best and getting the most press, Dobson ends the season as the more productive of the two.

Based on this logic, the 2013 WR corps is better than the 2007 WRs

Back then we cut our #1 WR

Instead we went into the season dependent on a trouble-making WR who hadn't shown an ability to make plays in several seasons with the Raiders who we picked up off the scrap heap for a 4th round draft pick

We also put a lot of faith into an unproven short WR who the friggen DOLPHINS were willing to let go for just a 2nd round pick

Honestly, I'll be surprised if that 2007 team can go 9-7

Have you seen Boyce, thompkins or Dobson in person? Have you seen Sudfeld?

Have you even looked at Amendolas production?

Do us all a favor and stay on the practice squad of this group, where you belong.

This team reminds me of 2001 for some reason...hopefully the end result will be the same.

This WR corps has a HUGE potential to mirror our Super Bowl teams in which no WR caught more than 60 passes, yet Brady constantly kept Defenses off kilter by spreading the field to numerous receivers, including our RBs (not to mention a converted LB)

I think McDaniels very much WANTS Brady to spread the field - but it may be that Brady had grown so used to looking to Welker every play (who except for a few big plays would typically come through) that the Offense became completely predictable

It was that predictability that made getting that one critical first down in critical big games that much more difficult.

With this many new faces I think McDaniels and Belichick have ensure that Brady will get back to his true talent of simply spreading the field and finding the open receiver

Deep threat....lots and lots of deep threats

Peyton Manning's running backs are arguably the worst in the NFL so it evens out!
