Miserable Night For Tim Tebow Against Buccaneers

Re: Tebow must be cut after preseason

AGREED

"In addition, Mallet really looked like a solid #2 QB last night." CAN'T AGREE WITH THIS FULLY. At times he looked solid, other times, he missed throws he needs to be making at this point.

Boy you are a tough grader. Mallett MOVED THE TEAM. He threw for a 60% completion percentage of his throws, 0 INTs, and one TD, 10 points and a missed FGA, and produced a 98.7 QB rating, in a little less than 1 quarter of play.

You are just Brady spoiled.

Just too bad that we wasted 2+ quarters on this idiot, instead if letting Mallet get some play/practice time. SMH.

He was god awful. And that's putting it lightly.

He would have had one more yard passing if he had lined up under the guard instead of under center.

0.0 passer rating!

This has to be a new record, not just for the NFL, but for planet Earth.

Wasn't 0.0 Bluto Blutarsky's GPA?

Re: Tebow must be cut after preseason

I am still trying to figure out who started this nonsensical horse poo. Which "positions" do you think he would be viable at?

Duh.......it's Tim Tebow.

Missionary position!!!!

I can say honestly that Tim Tebow and I have one thing in common. We both achieved a 0.0. Mine in college and his in the pro's.

Indeed it was. But Bluto actually offered some comedic value in reaching that mark. Tebow made me wonder if linemen on the roster could throw a more accurate pass than he was throwing last night.

I dont know...that was pretty comical. And we are gonna see more over the next 2 PS games perhaps. TT, the gift that keeps on giving, every week.

I just watched the game again. Tebow was AWFUL. It was very disappointing. I honestly thought that we would see some improvement by now. It was just as bad as the first game. I just don't know what his role would be on the team if they keep him here. He wants to be a QB, but man he looks bad.

5/19 for 54 yards in 2 games, with passes that resemble bad throws by running backs in halfback option plays, is just plain painful to watch - even in the preseason. He has 10 rushes for 61 yards (roughly twice his per attempt average in passing), making him a very effective running back if that were the primary purpose for his position (a new, innovative jumbo formation on short yardage that saves Brady from the piles falling on him? - Tebow throwing to 10 yard squares on the field would work with the secondary entirely committed to the run).

I don't hate the guy for who he is or how he is, but his presence as QB on a precision passing team with rookie WRs that need all the good passes they can possibly catch in game scenarios prior to the regular season remains a mystery to me. I hope one day there is some behind-the-scenes video of the Pats organization that explains the thought process here, or we all have some epiphany in the regular season as to what the plan was in going down this road.

Maybe they are doing the ole "hiding the secrets" PS thing. You know, not showing their hand. BB tells TT "go out there and look horrible" so that if teams have to face him when it counts they dont know what to expect.

Or, it could be he is not good. Gonna think on that.

don't think on it too long...in fact...stop thinking on it..:D

His mechanics are corrected, and he is now capable of throwing passes with a laser rocket arm but saving it for when it counts? Possible. I am going with a secret employment termination clause in McDaniel's Denver head coach contract that requires Demaryius Thomas to join McDaniels in New England within three years of his firing date, after which the Pats have a receiver on the roster with the speed and experience to run Tebow's errant passes down.

Not possible. It was a joke.

Mallet is not looking like the future of the franchise right now -- not that I ever thought he would be given the timeline of his free agency and Brady's retirement being years away. But his performance has likely killed his trade value.

I was a fan of the Tebow signing and I'm hoping he improves, but I'm dismayed with what I've seen. He has unfortunately regressed in my opinion. The last year with the Jets was a bad situation for his development.

I also have no idea why he's running the option in preseason -- everyone knows he can do that. He should be practicing his pocket passing skills.

Mallett looked fantastic last night. Granted, a lot of guys who aren't that good look fantastic in the preseason,.

I was actually getting embarrassed watching the game last night Tebow was that bad. I missed the last preseason game and haven't looked at the replay yet. So last night was my first look at Tebow in a Pats jersey. I though his passing attempts were simply dire. Anybody who seriously thinks this guy might pass out Mallett, must be smoking the funny stuff.

It's hard to achieve a GPA higher than that when you're already dead, Fawn.
