Should the Pats use Tebow as a TE now ?

Well that shows he once made a block, it doesn't tell us he can be an effective blocker at any level of consistency.

Don't forget we are not saying Tebow as a Gronk replacement we have Ballard/Sudfeld for that. AHern was not a great or even good blocker by any stretch of the imagination.

He made more blocks, he played special teams for half he season , he missed one block that's it .

He could block like Anthony Munoz and it still would not make him a tight end . So not sure why the focus is on the blocking .

Put me down as, meh. 4th string QB/TE. He might be able to throw better than Hooman.:)

I'll go with Ballard, Fells, Hooman, Sudfeld, Ford and even Mark Harrison (in Hernandez's role) before I'd use Tebow as a TE

So you are saying they keep 6 TEs. Interesting.:)

Yes. Belichick said he was here to play quarterback. And we all know that Belichick is always open and honest during his press conferences.

The fact that you would compare Amendola playing NT or Mankins playing CB to Vrabel or Tebow playing TE pretty much says it all. Tebow is an athlete.

Having him be able to catch a pass or run the ball in a specific situation is about as likely as Belichck turning a former college wrestler into a reputable Offensive Lineman

Go back and watch some game film of his 2011 season against the Patriots. It's clear he is subpar as a QB but even in situations where the Patriots knew he was going to run they had a difficult time stopping him.

I can't find too much game film of Hooman or Fells dominating a game - can you?

Amendola, Wilfork and Mankins were used to show how hollow the reasoning you use to suggest a Tebow to TE move is. Shoot, Troy Brown played some corner, Vrabel played some TE, so that means anyone can do it, right? That's all your basing this on, you're not giving any other logical reasoning other than someone else did it. By that flawed logic any player is a valid replacement for any other position simply because you can say Troy Brown and Mike Vrabel did it.

As I have already pointed out Troy Brown was a slot receiver asked to cover a slot receiver, there are actual transferable skills and physical attributes Brown had that made him a logical choice as an emergency fill in. Vrabel and everyone else's favorite example, Antonio Gates, were both good enough TE's in HS to get scholarships to Ohio St and Michagan St. They also had the prototypical size that Tebow lacks. Stephen Neal had prototypical size and athleticism and was able to transfer the leverage and balance skills used in wrestling to another sport that used those same leverage and balance skills. He was also a million to one shot.

Not sure what your last point is, Are you saying the clearly subpar QB Tebow was dominating the game? A game in which Tebow's team was outscored by 18 points? Really? And what do rushing yards have to do with him playing TE anyway? And what does Fells or Hooman dominating a game (or not) have to do with Tebow being a better choice over them at TE? Tebow has never even played the position.

The next time someone gives me a valid reason as to why Tebow should be or would succeed at TE will be the first.

Yeah, let's take someone who hasn't shown an ability to play the position and put him there and not take one of the free agents on the market that's proven to be capable of playing the position.

if "he's a winner", then let him win his position rather than trying to find one that he can play.

Also, do Patriots fans really want Tebow blocking Brady's blindside against some of the NFL's premiere edge rushers????

I'd rather eat razor blades.

They cant. Hernandez just shot him

I thought Tebow was all powerful and superhuman, if so why couldn't he influence A Hernandez to stay on the straight and narrow.

Thought Tebow could do everything..

Yeah you seem to be in complete awe of Tebow. What's the point of your post seriously? Was Tebow AHerns parent? Blaming Tebow on Aherns psychosis is pretty damn weak and petty. It must suck having that much hate in your heart for people you dont even know.

That's right, anyone even the slightest bit critical of Tebow, even as a joke, hates him. What a tired and overused response this has become.

Oh really? If defending Tebow is tired and overused then what the hell is bashing him? Because that goes on 100 times more.

Tebow shouldnt be a full time TE. he should sit on the bench and learn and improve at QB from Tom Brady, arguably the best QB of all time.

It's the cries of hate whenever someone questions his skills or talent, and they have every reason to do so.

But he was a TE. Tebow is not, and has demonstrated none of the skills required.

You will have to answer that yourself since you posted 'proof' he could block and i simply questioned your posting.
