"Judge Renee P. Dupuis said in Fall River Superior Court the state's case is very strong, and the portrayal of Hernandez as a cold blooded killer is so compelling, she can't allow him out on bail."

Bail denied, again, for Aaron Hernandez | Boston Herald

...says the guy posting on the Internet.

says the guy who has posted 300 times in 8 years (me) vs 13,000 times for you and 36,000 for Deus, who likes to take a postion and then fight everyone by nitpicking line by line every word typed...Keep saving the world Jack Bauer.

I just want to go on record on how much I enjoyed watching Grogan hitting the Steamer down the right sideline when I was growing up.

To me - Stanley Morgan was an enjoy watching.

Yeah, but you're still posting on an Internet messageboard calling another guy a loser for posting on an Internet messageboard more frequently. It's...somewhat lame. Though if this is the general tenor and substance of your posts I can't say we've missed all that much.

Please get off your high horse and cite where I think that I am entitled to anything other than offering an opinion?

Admittedly I am not part of the fanbot "blame the media for everything" brigade that circles the wagons whenever anything remotely considered anti Patriot is reported. Lately the anti media snobbery has been more nuanced because they didn't have the whole and exact story spelled out to your satisfaction before yesterday.

I have zero problem saying the media screwed up at times but not to the point that they were or now should be part of the story. It went like this before the arrest- guy is suspected of killing someone but the barbs are flung at the press and those who believe some of the reports because AH is a Patriot...rinse-lather-repeat.

You've now brought up repeatedly how you had to valiantly protect the name of the media against the unjust persecution by the homer fanbots. Guess what? The collective media wasn't suddenly vindicated because Hernandez was eventually arrested for a different crime then was first reported. And your equating these anti-media sentiments to our fandom is downright silly and juvenile. The rants against media sensationalism and incompetence go well beyond sports and are a national conversation.

Obviously you are entitled to your opinion but you seem literally insulted by the notion that someone should challenge you on it. If anything you are the one acting as if you are above these homer fans and their silly wait and see opinions. And if you really have a problem with the way someone called you out on one of those opinions then maybe you should take it up with them specifically instead of these random drive by generalization of anyone that didn't automatically convict Hernandez last Tuesday.

This thread is gold. Giveaways, punks, etc... the info is 2 days old at most and "it's a dead giveaway". The wagons are circled now. Pretend it's not out there. lol Internet tough guys abound saying things they wouldn't say in a face to face conversation. I go to lunch and come back to laugh.

Enough, either look it up or not. Claim I'm backing off or not. Claim I fled or not. I'm done with this. I haven't gone anywhere to hide but get off your lazy asses or quit pretending you "know". I'll respond to the posts and not this crap anymore.

I've looked through all of your posts and I didn't find one person claiming what you suggested they did. Now what?

Preach brother Steamer preach.:D

Ok since much of the focus seems to be on how the media screwed up. Please feel free to correct me if I’m mistaken but I recall the following (pre arrest) media reports that largely proved accurate:

• Body is found less than ½ mile from Hernandez house
• Rental linked to slaying rented in AH’s name.
• 3 search warrants obtained and executed at AH home.
• MSP detectives removed items from home believed to be evidence.
• Victim dating sister of AH’s girlfriend.
• Victim last seen with AH.
• Victim sent text indicating he was with AH the day he was killed.
• AH destroyed his home surveillance system and cell phone.
• Employees of nearby business hear gunshots around time murder believed to take place in that secluded area.
• AH seen returning home shortly after gunshots.

There may have been other reports but those are just the ones of the top of my head. The media was wrong so to speak when they said an arrest warrant had been issued but as we all know now AH was arrested a few days after that report. I will also say this, granted its speculation but it possible that whoever the media contacted in the court purposely mislead them as to the arrest warrant status as it was a fluid investigation and the MSP may have been waiting to execute the arrest warrant and did not want to risk AH fleeing OJ style. I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m a police sergeant…years ago I routinely wrote and submitted affidavits for 94c (drug) related search warrants. I can tell you from personal experience that the police can’t just list a couple of suspicions and expect the judge to sign off on it. To that degree I will admit being biased toward a person being guilty especially after 3 such warrants were issued. Even if arrest warrant report was a complete media screw up I don’t believe it negates all the other accurate reporting.

I don’t believe anyone who drew the logical inference that AH may have in fact killed this guy were psychic…the fact that some of us believed the media reports doesn’t make us smarter than anyone else. I just don’t think we were acting like unenlightened knuckle draggers simply for thinking he did it.

I don't think all were. In fact, I am sure most weren't acting that way. Of course some were acting like that just like there some on the other side of the argument acting like jackasses.

So the NFL officially has said AH can't sign with another team until a hearing with Roger Goodell.

I doubt anyone will be climbing over one another to sign him.

It's worse than even I initially thought.......AH is the purest form of evil I've seen in some time

Every thread on patsfans.com these days turns into an argument. Its not even funny any more. It use to be fun playing, see how long it takes for someone to start arguing but not any more

Someone died, this thread should be filled with

"that's so sad"
and "that's to bad"
"Prayers for the family"

that kind of stuff.

Instead we have a bunch of folks calling each other internet tough guys and what not

SMH

True, but it's not nearly as interesting to read 70 pages of "Thoughts and prayers"-type posts, you gotta admit.

Meanwhile today AH passed thru waivers with no team picking him up, not even the Ravens. Guess Ray Lewis' legacy passes with him.

Is this true? Wow, if a team would have put a claim on him, THAT would have been a headline!

That is becuase AH has charted NEW territory.

Also Rae Caruth would be closer to the lines of AH.

Then how about reading a thread with, I don't know? Football talk? Just a thought.

I never imagined as I was cheering on the (now ironic and slightly sickening) "make it rain" celebration and placing my order for a jersey that a few short months later Ravens brass would be having this conversation:

Brass #1: Should we pick up Hernandez? We took a chance on Ray Lewis.
Brass #2: Yeah but Hernandez is REALLY scary.
Brass #1: You're right, we'll pass.

I can see the gang banger developing before my eyes but my mind can't reconcile it with the dude I saw on the field. I think I'll spend a sports fan lifetime coming to grips with it.

That said, my buddy is a Ravens fan and I guess I'll at least be able to say our murderer is more accomplished than his. So I've got one up there... (Yes this is AWFUL, but I thought it, so there it is.)
