Aaron Hernandez charged with murder

this is interesting......

so just because he's aaron hernandez, the other 2 got the opportunity to piece their story together and rat him out?

given the other 2 are likely no different from hernandez or Lloyd (even though he got killed, he was there with the other 3 ..... just another moron)

to a degree, it looks like due process wants it to be AH taking the entire blame

Unfortunately we wont know anything due to the gag order, but all signs point that the two others didn't know Lloyd and thus had no reason to kill him.

They should get charges against them for going along and not trying to stop it -- even trying to stop AHern before he left his home would've ended it.

But it seems to me like they were just tagging along; if AHern wasn't in the picture, Lloyd would still be alive. If those two guys weren't in the picture, Lloyd would probably still be dead cause AHern wouldn't need them to carry out the act.

Felger & Mazz (I know, I know)

-Joint venture. In Mass, it doesn't have to be proven that he pulled the trigger. Just that he was there and a willing participant.

-Florio is reporting that either the police have the two others in custody and they have ratted on him, or the police don't know where the other two are and they are at large (which points to what those tiplines were placed by the attorney's speech)

its the only thing that could make the arrest so definitive....its the only way the decision that he was the one who did it so clear cut.....

Yeah, that douchebag Lloyd shouldn't have gotten in front of those bullets.

But congrats on getting the "Hernandez is getting railroaded" conspiracy rolling.

Don't worry kennyb...tony will find a way to to get him off he's defending him.

That is not what I was contradicting at all.

It's you calling out people for wanting to even wait until he's proven guilty.

I called you out for being a bloodthirsty overzealous psychopath.

No need to get mad.

Reality Check for me. I have to remember to keep perspective in November and December when sometimes it feels like I live and die by how the Pats are doing.

1) It's just a game.

2) We might think we know them, but we really don't know very much about the guys who play it.

3) It's way too easy to get overinvested in any team and its players.

The most important single fact here isn't what this might mean for the Pats and certainly not what it means for us, but rather that someone is dead and the authorities say that he was murdered by one of the guys who, until today, was an integral part of the team I love.

I gotta think about that.

Forgive my huge ignorance of the law - would the charge be any different whether AH pulled the trigger or just organized the kill? No, right?

In a state with the death penalty, it might matter. But in Mass, ultimately it wouldn't as a practical matter -- although I guess could have some impact on sentence. Unless the claim was that he was an unknowing passenger and thus couldn't have had any premeditation.

He wasn't charged with conspiracy, which is interesting. Because if I understood the evidence (and I admit that I was having some trouble hearing everything), he essentially texted his buddies to get down to his house to come help him do murder, which would clearly be a conspiracy. Just guessing, but one reason not to charge conspiracy is that you really can't charge just one person with conspiracy and the prosecutor was not ready yet to charge the other guys.

The way the prosecutor described the facts, there are at least two other people who (if those facts are true) clearly are guilty of very serious felonies as well. The fact that they haven't been charged yet, and that there is as of yet no conspiracy claim, would probably mean they are cooperating. If they have Hernandez pulling the trigger, this goes from a circumstantial case to a non-circumstantial case.

Anyway, this thing is just making me sick. First, the stupidity of it. It's so bumbling. It's like a Coen brothers movie. How did he imagine he would get away with it? Also, if the motive being reported is true, this can't possibly be the only time he's done something like this, can it? To execute a friend because of who he talked to is indicative of such a depraved and horrible person that it's really hard to imagine this was his maiden voyage on a crime of this magnitude. Second, and I know this overreaction, I am really having trouble with how to explain this all to my little guy -- we flew all the way to Boston to watch these guys. We high fived when Hernandez did something good. We cheered for a guy who did the worst thing in the world you can do. I know these guys are not saints, but this? Executing a guy because he spoke to the wrong guys? Man. This is terrible.

yeah....not really......I was one of the first ones here calling for him to be dumped last week

figuring he is a complete moron, his facials make for a hard read at his arraignment

Y! SPORTS

Why do people even care about what happens anymore? He will never play for the patriots ever again in the history of the universe

Lloyd was a thug but shouldn't have died, that would be stupid to say. It is suspicious that those other two clowns are not getting any heat, unless its just the media under reporting.

OK, been a bit busy with the work thing so just catching up. Haven't had a chance to read the threads but saw this and -- jeezus, just hard to fathom:

Wesley Lowery ‏@WesleyLowery 32m
To be clear: DA's saying #hernandez shot Lloyd three times right after Lloyd got out of the car. Then stood over him & put two in his chest.

No, this is more like a Farrelly brothers movie, if anything.

Either they have ratted on Hernandez or they are at large and police don't know where they are.

I haven't heard he was a thug. The worst I can say about him was that he hung around with AH and that may only because they were dating sisters

Like everyone else on this board, I have no idea how this will play out, but Hernandez appears to be dumber than dirt. Doesn't he at least watch law and order?

Frankly, I'm disgusted by ah's stupidity and depravity.

Either they have ratted on Hernandez or they are at large and police don't know where they are.

I don't think they're at large.........I see them as the only ones who at this point could make the case against hernandez......without their input, all 3 had equal opportunity

This isn't the USSR or even India/China.

However, a militant Marxist revolutionary is in the Oval Office and seems to have the communists rallying around him. FYI: this can attested to by Marxist revolutionaries/planners who knew him at Occidental College. And his mentor, Frank Marshall Davis was a card carrying member of the Communist Party USA (#47544). What do you understand about communism? Historically, communists who have been caught by the US Govt call accusers Red-bating lunes and declare themselves "progressives." Progressive utopia places an absolute faith in central planner..this is communism, folks. Once Henry Wallace's Progressive Party collapsed, the CPUSA infiltrated the Democratic Party; running members into elections for delegates.

So, although we might not be a communist nation, yet, plans are underway. Did Pope Francis really say that socialism causes misery, and that America is heading towards a form of communism?

They might be in protective custody. I think their would have been some kind of leak if these guys were at large and if police thought they played a bigger role in Odin's death.

coen brothers and stupid in the same sentence? I have seen it all.....

Love the sig pic; Pats bombing Jets.

I had to explain this to my six year old today. Yeah, that was awesome. :bricks:
