Ballard and Hernandez aren't remotely comparable players. The effective replacement for Hernandez would be a slot receiver like Welker (or Amendola). But Belichick couldn't have seen this coming - who knew Hernandez would be shooting people in the face all up and down the East Coast?

If Amendola and Edelman stay healthy, the WRs may not be a complete disaster. But those are big ifs. High time to call Brandon Lloyd. Hell, call Randy.

From a football standpoint if this crap hits the fan, certainly the running game would be better in 2 TE sets with Gronk/Ballard than Gronk/Hernandez right? That's a positive I guess......

It could range from obstruction of justice to first degree murder. There is quite a gap there .

Let the system sort this stuff out before jumping to conclusions. If guilt was determined via first impressions of initial media reports, the Duke Lacrosse team, Jerome Bettis, and various others would have been tossed prematurely (and incorrectly) into jail. Let it play out.

And they may be trying to leverage an arrest for him to turn on his friends. My guess he would be charges with an accessory to the crime where they will offer a walk if he testifies, but that is purely a guess obviously.

He will definitely face some sort of suspension though.

Given the broken mirror, that would imply another car was involved?

So maybe the 4 of them went to buy some weed, and something went wrong, and one of them was either killed on the spot or taken by the dealers.

Then instead of reporting it to police, because it was drug related and AHern wanted to keep it under wraps, he decided to do nothing but stay at his home -- especially if Lloyd was taken and not killed in front of them there'd be the hope of his safe return.

That sorta makes more sense than a dead person with a broken car mirror if there's only one party involved
