39. Jets - Smith
50. Bears - Barkley

I hope Jags and Cards are trying to Mallett! Then it would be perfect if we took Alabama NT Jesse Williams

On that note too why, why, why, why, why are people so enamored with a NT who will offer zero pass rush when the run defense is already more than fine

I agree, plus he has short arms. I know same as Wilfork's but I don't see him as productive. Pats can take any old DL and plug him in and get good results. No need for a high pick.

Margus Hunt? Looked terrible in the Shrine game, or was it Senior Bowl. Just not a good football player.

Neither was Michael Johnson for a while. Went on to be BB's #1 FA hope.

I've been back and forth on Kawan Short this whole draft. Not enamored with the guy but see the value. I keep telling myself if he was that good of a pass rusher then why wasn't he picked on day 1.

Does this guy have any Geno Atkins in him?

My prediction for Day 2:
Don't fall in love with pick #52. So far there have been no RBs drafted, and Cincinnati is picking @ 53/ Green Bay @ 55. I could see someone try to move in front of those two for the RB of their choice. Of course, I have not been right about a whole lot of this draft stuff over the years...

I strongly recommend that the Jets trade their 2014 1st-round pick to make this happen.

I'd love to be their trading partner. Almost guaranteed to be in the mix for Clowney.

I wonder if the Pats would take a hard look if he fell to their second 2nd Rd or first 3rd Rd pick. Would make Mallett completely expendable to trade next year, while having a guy long thought of as a top 5 pick until a down senior season be Brady's cheap backup for another three years.

Both are possibles for us:

Toughest guys Luke Joeckel faced? "[Lerentee] McCray from Florida or Corey Lemonier from Auburn."... Lemonier could go 2nd, McCray in 4th.

Absolutely pathetic pick. Didn't we learn from the Tavon Wilson pick last year? We're smarter than everyone else attitude is still alive.

shouldve taken greene or patton for sure hopefully one of them is there in the 4th but i doubt it

I give up. Had a terrible time doing mocks this year. Only consolation is that most of the guys I've liked have gone pretty high. But as for mocks, sheesh.
