4 Picks for #29

I could care less if we got 4 picks for 1 unless they were all 1st & 2nd rounders.

Maybe I'll be happy if we get a WR (Hunter or Allen) plus DE Margus Hunt

2a Jonathan banks cb
2b margus hunt de
3a Ryan swope wr
3b Jordan Reed te
4a darick Rogers wr

5 picks in the next 70 with only 3 WR's off the board and Cleveland adding another pass-rusher. We could:

Still double-dip at WR, draft a CB, LB and an upside player like Lattimore, sign John Abraham and trade Mallett for Jabaal Sheard and still have three 7ths to prioritise UDFA.

I am numb I cannot believe BB pulled that off...lets hope we get Two decent WR's out of this. What a weird First Round some of those Teams was absolutely clueless. Cannot wait to see what we do Tomorrow I having Two picks in the 2nd.

please bill get the honey badger please!!!!! imagine him in the slot!!!

They already have a slot CB!!!!!!! His name is Kyle Arrington!!!!!!

*finally watching on tv the pats pick....* TRADE gee who didn't see that coming? Ok. Vikings?!?!?! didn't they already have two picks, who the hell do they want? Alright already c'mon lets see what we got in exchange. *flash the deal* STANDING OVATION! Bill hosed the vikings and I could not be happier. :singing:

/hears Felger whining already

Felger would be right to "whine" about this. How does this help the Patriots? The Pats essentially gained a 3rd + 4th rnd pick while dropping out of the first round. That 7th rnd pick is useless.

The Patriots continue to draft as if Tom Brady is 26 years old. The window is closing fast and 3rd + 4th rnd picks aren't going to be what the Patriots need to put them over the top. They need impact players on both sides of the ball. You aren't going to get those impact players where they have dropped to...Keep in mind the Patriots didn't have any picks because Belichick wasted the teams choices on Ochocinco and Albert Hanesworth. My faith in him no longer exists.

The Patriots have been in a holding pattern for the last ten years. If TB is going to get one last Superbowl he needs help and that help isn't coming from 4th rnd jags. Thus far this offseason has been extremely underwhelming.

Not picking til 52 concerns me. Hope BB hits on these.

I'll be very surprised if the Patriots don't pick before then. They didn't stockpile all of those picks so that they could sit on them and draft guys to be four-year backups. There will be at least one trade-up tomorrow.

Alfonzo Dennard was a 7th rounder just last season. He's a starter going into this season. Deaderick and Edelman were 7th rounders as well. 7th round picks aren't useless.

ohh i remember him!!!! last i knew he was still trying to stop boldin, i guess no one told him the game was over

I'd be pretty okay with that, although I have serious doubts that Swope will be able to stay on the field at all.

Do you think Mathieu would fare much better against Boldin? It's an indictment of the Pats' atrocious depth at CB that Arrington had to assume that responsibility, not an indictment of him that he couldn't do it.

Wasn't it Marquice Cole that had the problems with Boldin? I mean outside of the 2 TD catches he didn't really kill them only had 5 rec for 60 yards

Day 2 is going to be interesting. Tons of value still at WR, LB, and DE. Sucks that the DT market this year is so dry, mostly just the hog style NTs left at this point.

Loved it, the list of remaining players is loaded with good prospects and they fit the needs. The meat of this draft is the next 100 players and they now get 5 instead of 2. They have the ability to move around now and teams boards differ and there could be plenty of picks that go off that won't affect their plans at all. Now they can go WR twice if they want and still get DL/OL/DB or LB and that meets all their needs. Much as I love the first round pick this was a good thing, i'm surprised they were able to get that kind of return.

Yep. And maybe another in the future.

arrington is part of the depth, he got owned in the game, would you rather have him gaurd welker or would you want mathieu?

Yeah, that didn't help the Ravens win the game or nothing...
