Annual patsfans.com draft contest-2013

That's very nice.

Thanks Manx - other draft prospects that I think the Pats are seriously looking at for the draft or UDFA are (based on their official visits and workouts):

Charles Johnson, WR, Grand Valley State (7th round - UDFA possibility)
Miguel Maysonet, RB, Stoney Brook (7th round - UDFA possibility)
Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas (6th round - UDFA)
Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma
Stedman Bailey, WR, WVU
Offensive Tackles (they did 10 workouts within this group)
Lerentee McCray, DE, Florida (potential UDFA)
The whole OLB grouping

Yup. Not sure about Stedman Bailey but I agree that the rest of hat list are very possible for the Pats. Knile Davis is one of those big upside picks and Maysonet is a walk in replacement for Woodhead. I had McCray in my "just missed" group in my last mock as I see him as an ideal DE in sub-packages (was one of the few to show up Joeckel).

Yep - I agree with that sentiment. Maysonet would be a pretty good replacement for Woodhead as well as provide competition for Washington and Bolden. Same goes for Davis....and the good thing is that I don't think that they will have to spend a draft pick on one of those guys.

Here is another guy that I am keeping tabs on - Rex Burkhead, Nebraska. He is Woodhead 2.0.

I'll fling some guesses up against the wall and see if anything sticks.

WR Robert Woods
WR Quinton Patton
DE Datone Jones
DE Damontre Moore
CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson

How can Bill screw-up this draft like he does most others? How about...

Matt Elam: the too-small Safety

Tyrann Mathieu: the too-small CB

Marquise Goodwin: the too-small WR

Nick Kasa: the useless TE

Abry Jones: the unproductive DLineman

Nice list. You should go sarcastic more often.

I haven't been here in months. I haven't studied this draft class at all. I know nothing. NOTHING.

But heck, I can't do any worse than I did in the years when I spent countless hours poring over prospects, right?

Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall
Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
Josh Boyd, DT, Mississippi State
Michael Buchanan, DE, Illinois
Shawn Williams, SS, Georgia

So, do I laugh or cry about this?

Time to unlock and release the beast. There were 14 Williams'ssss listed in the top 150 players and the Patriots did not take 1.

It looks as if there are co-champions this year - patchick and State

Congrats both.

Well at least I got Boyce right. Once again the Steelers got a pick I loved in Wheaton and I like him coming out a lot more than I did Wallace but not as much as Woodley.

Great draft BB! Love it. Every pick perfect.
