Robert Kraft blasts Welker's agent

I'm sorry but I have to take exception to Kraft's remarks, esp the one re: not answering to Brady.

Does that really need to be said, esp after what he has done AND CONTINUES TO DO, not FOR Kraft but he is certainly reaping the benefits.

No tact.

Kraft has had a tough go losing his wife and all but no need to say some of these things, even if that is how he feels.

No, he does not have to answer to Brady but did that really need to be said?

Seems to me someone is taking someone else for granted...maybe if he took Giovanni Carmazzi he would be singing a different tune...

The arrogance continues.
Why is Robert Kraft opining that Wes Welker might be cut after year 1 in Denver?? Why is Kraft commenting on Welker's deal with Denver??
Bob Kraft says he doesn't answer to Tom Brady???
Psssst, hey Bobby you ain't no model franchise without #12.
God I wish Tom Brady had Gisele's balls and mouth. Someone needs to put Kraft in his place.
Gisele would in 1.2 seconds.

LOL......foxborough was selling out long before tom brady...and will continue to seel out after he's gone.

gillete was being built before tom brady......

kraft is the only reason the pats even matter to us now......kraft may be the only reason the 2011 season started on time

go be a fan of some other team

With your attitude about all things Patriots, why not just change and become a Jets fan?;)

I think you'd be much happier. There is so much more there to freely criticize.:)

Ridiculous.

1. The Patriots would be/were a joke of a franchise without Kraft.

2. #12 would be an insurance salesman married to Walmart checkout girl without the the Pats picking him at 199.
The first guy made a stupid point, but you didn't have to counter balance that with an equally stupid point as a reply.

Robert Kraft is 100% full of crap. Welker had more receptions than any player in NFL history over a 6 year period, broke Jerry Rice's record for 100 RECseasons, and led the league in first downs and YAC lat year, and the Patriots wanted him to take Ocho money. They were pissed off he took the franchise money and wouldn't accept their lowball deal so they pushed him out the door.

A 2 year deal isn't wanting Welker to be a Patriot "for life, " Kraft is a liar, he should just his piehole.

I don't get it. Why is Kraft saying he doesn't answer to Brady a big deal?

What exactly did he say that insinuates Wes may be cut after one year? I highly doubt he meant it to be interpreted that way.

In fact, the sellout streak dates to Kraft buying the team.

Kraft has typically stayed quiet and respectful throughout his history with the team, even in the face of the witch hunt that was Spygate. And all that's gotten him is continued criticism amongst the media and fanbase for his "cheapness" and "arrogance", despite spending to the cap, having one of the most successful franchises in all of sports (that he pulled out of the doldrums), and being one of the most influential figures in settling the labor dispute. I'm ok with him taking a little offense to the situation for once if he feels the perception doesn't match the facts.

Thanks for the link. What he said was not that bad. Just financial reality.

But in Denver, he’s going to count $4 million against the cap this coming year and $8 million the second year. There is no guarantee that he plays the second year there. He will get $6 million the first year. Our deal, he would have gotten $8 million the first year – our last offer to him.

From the article quoted above.

Right on.
Kraft also wants you to believe they offered Wes 8 million the first year.
Uh huh!!! Sure Robert.....

He has the Broncos plans confused with their own plans.

Brady is seriously pissed off and Kraft knows it so he is trying to deflect the blame from where it belongs, on the Patriots.

I'm curious as to how you know this.

From the article quoted above.

Thanks, manxman, I have now read the article. I think he's just comparing the deals....he's not saying Wes won't play well and will be cut which is how it first came off to me.

I agree, have no problem with what he said and corroborates what Reiss said last week..

Wes was given an offer, he checked with other teams, when he came back the offer was no longer on the table..

Just like two years ago, he was given an offer and walked away..
