Sign Pollard! So he couldn't hurt a pats player anymore...

Oh Man.

Pollard released.

May I be the first to say

HA HA! D-bag.

That would be an awkward meeting in the locker room when Pollard, Brady, Welker, Gronk and Ridley are all there. Do they get to beat him with a sock full of nickles?

Pollard would be all like, "...Did Tom Brady just call me 'Babe'?"

I think DHB would do well here with Brady, Had close to 1000 yards two years ago. Hasn't had solid qb play over there, McFadden and Moore have constantly been hurt to take the "pressure" off of him...

Think he'd be a cheap low risk flyer type of pick that would pay off here. Shouldn't of been a first round pick, I think everyone but Oakland knew that at the time, but I certainly would gamble on him no question (if the price is reasonable)

He's something we don't have and I think he would look good across from lloyd and either welker/edelman/amendola/woodhead in the slot

Agreed, I'd be all in favor of signing him. There's a reason why Al Davis drafted him in the first, and that's because he has the physical tools of an elite WR. Granted, his actual play on the field did not warrant that draft position, but if he doesn't command premium money (and why would he?) this could be the exact sort of low-risk, high-reward signing that the Pats tend to pull off.

I want Dansby. Wanted him here when he got a big $ deal leaving Arizona for the fins. If the Patriots don't end up getting him, I can envision him having a good season on a rival like the NYG or Ravens.

I wanted him in the draft when the Pats took Ben Watson instead. Now that they play a 4-3, though, I'm not as keen on getting him, although he couldn't hurt. The only linebackers that the Pats really need to add though, IMO, are solid coverage guys.

I'm no expert, but I thought decent coverage was part of the package he brings. I view him as having the same athleticism and speed as Mayo. For instance, I looked up their draft #'s

Dansby (pro day, not combine): 6-3 247 - 4.57s 40 yd dash, 35" vert, 4.46s short shuttle
Mayo: 6-2 230 - 4.54s 40 yd, 32" vert, 4.29 short shuttle.

Jaguars released Laurent Robinson today. Signed him to 5 year, $32M deal on March 14, 2012. One year ago … tomorrow.

Kerry Rhodes cut, another safety on the market.

Matt Cassel has just been given the Spanish Archer in KC....

I actually thought the Pats should have kicked the tires on him last year, but never at the price he actually signed for. Might be worth a look this year, but only at the veteran minimum plus incentives.

Robinson suffered several concussions last year. That is why his play was so down.

I agree about taking a look, but I have a feeling that it won't happen because of the medical issues.

Anyone wondering why the Titans were talking to former Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick just got their answer.

The team has released a statement announcing that they were unable to reach an agreement on a restructured contract with quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and that the team will release him as a result.
