Wow, y'all are being harsh on Welker. Last year he messed up big yes but he took an absolute beating today. The drops hurt but he was still our top producer despite all the hits. Give Baltimore credit they basically beat us up into submission. And Flacco played unbelievable maybe the best postseason for a QB to date as much as it kills me to say.

Again, I am tired of seeing Welker drop huge passes every game. Some are not as bad as others but that third down drop was HUGE and was the turning point of the game.

Re: Patriots got BULLIED again.

The game was lost due to poor execution. They were playing well, but you cannot go empty if you reach inside your opponent's 25 yd line 6 ******* times.

Did anyone watch Shannon Sharpe after the game, he was saying that someone always *****es after they lose and it's unacceptable, that was all I heard but not who he was talking about, anyone hear who he was talking about?

Like many of you who work in and around the tech industry, I have a lot of ties to San Francisco. Of course I'm rooting for the 49ers, to the extent I care at all.

This game was a complete disaster. The horrible clock management in the first half was an omen as to what was to come.

anyone who doubts this is delusional like I said at the half - that Brady brain fart most definitely cost them two plays and probably 4 points. People are being too easy on Brady. Those types of mental lapses would have us laughing our asses off if it had been the Jests or Manning. There is no reason that type of mistake shouldn't come back to haunt us. I still can't f--ing believe what I just saw. Why Brady, why? What has happened to unflapable playoff Brady?

welker stays dropping passes. He needs to be let go.
32 next season, the high price, the drops, short and the declining speed.

stupid to resign him unless its dirt cheap but that will be impossible.

Re: Patriots got BULLIED again.

Ridley is great between the tackles but he's taken some vicious hits this season. He runs too high and he really got burned tonight because of it.

Though ironically he got hurt because he was trying to get low. I hate Pollard with the fire of 10,000 suns, but while he was leading with the head, he was going relatively low (for Ridley's chest) and Ridley lowered his head right into Pollard's helmet. It's clear on the replay.

I think that's on Belichick for not calling the timeout. It was a mistake but I think you're blaming the wrong guy.

2009 Playoffs vs. Ravens @ Foxboro

2010 Playoffs vs. Jets @ Foxboro

2012 Playoffs vs. Ravens @ Foxboro

Bullied. Taunted. Hit hard...... with ZERO retaliation at all.

Great team. But wayyyy too soft and disciplined.

Maybe its time for Belichick to start getting rid of mini-WR's. Maybe its time to let his team talk trash a little bit and be goons on the field. All the discipline he enforces makes the players passive and soft, as they live in fear of getting a penalty and then ending up in his doghouse.

Today I saw Pollard lay out 2 head shots, Ray Lewis with a head shot, Anquan Bolden taunting McCourty in the end zone after a TD, and numerous Patriots getting pushed and bullied after the whistle.

This teams biggest weakness is it's lack of toughness. I thought it was getting better this year, but they got bullied again.

Great analysis.

They out executed us and it is what is in Belichick speak. The better team won and they are representing the AFC in this years Super Bowl. Some of the worst fans to ever visit this board btw.

Few things stick out this game.

Sadly as great as Welker is he dropped a game changing momentum swinging 3rd down pass. At the least you go up 16-7 or even better 20-7. I'll give him a pass on the long one. He played a good game otherwise. I'd still sign him to a contract in a heartbeat unless some crazy proposal of Revis straight up was offered.

Talib played excellent while he was in. Things went south in a hurry after he went out. Unfairly my impression of him is injury prone. Not sure if I'd break the bank for him.

Gronkowski missing was huge but you could say the same about the Ravens missing their star cb due to acl tear. I'll be looking forward to a healthy Gronk in the future.

Dennard is a home run draft pick. He played great today. I'd argue his play is right up there with any rookie of the year candidates. I will enjoy watching him progress.

Brady and the offensive line did what they could with the flow of the game. They protected, run blocked but couldn't overcome the 3rd down drops or poor pass play calls on 3rd and short when they should of been runs. Not to mention the sustained drives by the Ravens in the 2nd half. There just really wasn't that many opportunities for them to score besides having to play out of control behind 2 tds. I don't fault Brady at all.

Thought Ridleys knee was down on the fumble and it was a helmet to helmet hit. I guess the refs thought they had called too many hth penalties against them already? Surprised that wasn't overturned.

A long offseason ahead of us and plenty of talk in the draft forum ahead as well as free agency. Definitely some room for improvement at some positions but not much. Can't believe the run we've had considering we've quietly rebuilt. It's almost complete and expect a few more runs before Brady retires. Good season guys and gals. I'll see you in the draft forum.

Every year, I come back to state the same reasons for another failed run.

My Observations:

1) No weapon at all, period. Another Playoff run without Gronk, No attacking the middle, the offense game plan sucked. I want to slap someone for planning that.

1b) Hernandez non factor in 2nd half??

2) Remember when our special teams were SPECIAL, and we always had an advantage because of it? Our return game is awful.

3) Remember when our coaches were the best at situational football? Our management of the clock at the end of the half was sad. Every one deserves a bad day, don't let it be the AFC championship game to forget that. BB could have called the TO as well... FAILURE from the coaching staff.

This game ended just like last years... A finesse Offense can not maintain performance through the playoffs... It just can not. You must have a legit #1, you must be ready to fight. Our offense 07+ has broken down when we needed it, without a defense to bail it out.

Another missed opportunitty... Next year, Rinse and Repeat!

Bellichick declining an interview with CBS.

Absolutely fixed horse $h@*. Both bros teams shut out the opposition, pats go away from how they dominated the first half, patriots vibe just went down. Oh well, time for a 19-0 season now. Brady has to have a fire lit to go back to a SB and kick @$$. The wrong beast has been awaken to destroy next year.

Brady looked beat tonight. His confidence took a huge beating. He will never see a Super Bowl again, especially without the use of filming the other teams defense. That sore loser, Belichick, didn't even give a post game interview. But, what do you expect from someone who records other teams defense... Throw your rings in the garbage because they mean nothing.

anyone hating on ridley for the 'fumble' is a fool.

a.) his ass was on the ground.
b.) he was knocked out. the fact that he maintained control almost the whole way down is remarkable considering HIS ENTIRE BODY WENT COMPLETELY LIMP. he was having a pretty good game til that point.

Again, I am tired of seeing Welker drop huge passes every game. Some are not as bad as others but that third down drop was HUGE and was the turning point of the game.

The drop was huge, not denying that. But the real turning point of the game was the Ravens going to a pass heavy attack and Flacco picking our D apart. We weren't winning this game playing defense like that. It was a total team loss and the drop was just one of the many problems.

It's impossible to really put it on one guy on offence specifically. I mean look at the last drive of the second and the first 3 drives of the third.

1. Last Drive of Fourth - Terrible Clock Management - This one is on Brady and Belichick, one of them should've summed up the situation better
2. First Drive of Third - Welker Drop, would've led to points and changed momentum.
3. Solder Holding Call on converted third down
4. Ridley freak fumble

In this time the Raven's scored 21 points and forced New England to be one dimensional and pretty much wrapped up the game, it was an all around stinker from the offence with the only person who I think played well being Lloyd.

I think that's on Belichick for not calling the timeout. It was a mistake but I think you're blaming the wrong guy.

:nono: Uh no. The HOF QB forgot he had a TO available and wasted many seconds trying to hurry his guys up to the line. Yes the coach deserves criticism for not realizing Brady was lost out there and calling the TO earlier. That is 100% on Brady. An embarrassing moment....one of several tonight.
