And worse coverage. Atlanta's defense is starting to fall apart now.

Yep, I still think Atlanta will squeak a win out. I would hate to be Atlanta going into the locker room with almost a tie game. Atlanta needs to light up SF's D again,

The gut reaction in these game day threads is Hall of Fame worthy.

Not only are the players on falcons D not great, the play calling might be worse.

I think if the 9ers win, it won't matter who wins the AFC, both will lose :(

Atlanta trying to give away the game now!! LOL. Whoa what happened to that lead??

LOL I'm so torn right now. Loving the prospects of Welker/Hern against that Falcons D, if we make it there.

But the 49ers D is no champ themselves and then you have the White/Julio Jones tandem to deal with.

Re: NFCCG Game Thread

Wiiide open. Too easy.

Atlanta has to make adjustments and figure out how to slow down this spread option.

The Ravens OL could've bent Jones over, stuck a flagpole up his ass and the refs weren't going to call anything on them.

Yup. Watching that game was infuriating. Let's not forget the phantom holding calls against the Pats in the passing game, perhaps the one on Mayo being the most ridiculous of them all because it was on a third-down stop late deep in their own territory. The Ravens went down the field and scored a TD.

That's just inexcusable.

That whole drive would have been bad defense in a high school game. For an NFL team in the conference championship, it was inexcusable.

its 2mins, more than enough time for Ryan to go down for a score, possible TD

a 10pt lead into halftime is good, a 6pt lead OK

and just like that they are back in it. Atlanta better get it going again soon.
If I was a Falcon fan I would be pissed!!

I like your optimism. Meanwhile, the 2001 Rams say hello.

The Falcons D is just awful. I really hope they manage to win this game and the Patriots close out against the Ravens. They'll score 50 on them.

It feels like I'm re-watching recent Patriots teams. High powered and potent O with a D that can't stop anyone worth a damn.

I'm going to call game over - now let's stop the other Harbaugh from making the big dance.

ATL will get physically out played and outcoached unless they force some turnovers.

you guys are hilarious, from it being game over for SF to being game over for ATL

can we hold off the statements until the clock reads 0:00?

Agreed. But the Falcons' D has been pretty schizophrenic so far. Very good in the first quarter, and non-existent in the second. Poor tackling, terrible coverage, wide open guys, poor containment of Kaepernick. Kind of puzzling how they transformed so abruptly.
