Are you also losing your mind?

It's been a pretty busy week for me, but a couple projects I was expected to work on this weekend didn't pan out and now I'm thinking about it quite a bit. I dunno, I'm not worried though. I was definitely more worried last year, and more worried about the Texans. I just started to take in some media "analysis" and it's pretty surprising to learn we don't stand a chance.

So I guess that means if/when Brady carves up the vaunted 85 Bear-like Ravens D, his legend will grow?

Ha! I know that'd never happen...

I am right there with everyone else, can't wait! I decided to stay away from all things football today, as you can see I am off to a great start.

My strategy for dealing with AFCCG's and SB's is simple: Ignore them until game time.

I am the only fanatic Pats fan I know whose SB day routine is to turn his TV on for five minutes early in the morning to be sure everything is working, test it again a couple of hours before the game and then leave it off until as close to the KO as possible. If I feel the need for a "fix," I come out here and bloviate for a little while.

It's a little harder when we're the late game on Championship Sunday, but I still try to keep my mind distracted.

Otherwise, "losing my mind" is a distinct possibility.

I am definitely losing my mind. Getting to game time is hard. And even once the game starts, getting to the point where the first few rounds of commercials are over and the game is in ryhthm takes awhile longer.

The fact that I have a really bad feeling about this game doesn't help matters very much. Nor does the fact that whenever I look at the clock it seems to be 13 after the hour or 13 until the hour (like 7:47 or something). That can't be good, can it?

If you think you're going crazy now, after the Pats win, you have an additional 2 weeks to go crazy.

fixed it for ya.:D

Wheres the doc and the delorean when you need em? 630 cant come any sooner.

Imagine how the PLAYERS feel !

I don't know, man. I think the players aren't as anxious as fans get. Sure they are excited to play, but a lot of us (and I imagine, a lot of Raven fans as well) get incredibly crazy around this time of year. You should have saw the threads the day after the Super Bowl about us dropping Gronk because he was out partying topless that night after the game.

Anyway, we're off to Monster Jam. For my kids it's a bunch of fun, for my wife and I it is an interesting distraction. I still need something to do tomorrow from 10 when I get home from running until 3 when the NFC game starts. Man, I HATE having to wait for the late game come playoff time.

Hmm.. clearly you have not seen McNabb vomiting in-game...

:)

The whole McNabb blowing chunks during Super Bowl 36 is an urban myth.
Where is he "clearly seen" vomiting? I've yet to find visual evidence (i.e. the Fox broadcast) or anyone on either sideline saying he did it.
There was something wrong with him during the game. He's seen spewing Gatorade gulps shortly after swishing it in his mouth and another time he's seen sucking on a towel. Also, another player in the huddle had to verbally relay the plays to the offense once or twice because McNabb was having a hard time annunciating. That's maybe where the "McNabb puked during The Super Bowl" thing got it's legs.
He was under the weather for whatever reason but there's no evidence he ralphed.

Oh.. ok.. NFL players experience no anxiety pre-game...

lol !

Some British friends invited me down to a bar here in Buffalo to watch a big soccer match at 10:30 am. I may drink a few just to take the edge off by afternoon. They are all Tottenham Hotspurs fans. I'm like soccer but don't really follow any teams (I used to be a fan of AC Milan way back). should be a big sports day for me tomorrow.

It's been a busy week at work for me as I worked over 60 hours this week so haven't had much time too think about the game. Once I finished up work for the week this afternoon, my wife and I went to get groceries and I heard two people talking about the game tomorrow it got me so excited I wanted to tackle the chip display featuring Matthews and Polamalu...:rocker::rocker::rocker:

Have you ever had a TV come up broken on a big game day? That would be not come up actually. A TV of mine died at the beginning of a Celtics playoff game, but that was so long ago it had vacuum tubes in it, which you could fix yourself. Problem wasn't a tube though. :ugh:

What would you do if your TV died? There was a power outage in my neighborhood the day/night of the 2008 ALCS seventh game. Went to my son's place ~ 45 miles away and watched the Sox lose. I don't think I could watch a big game of one of my teams at a neighbor's house because where I live there are no Boston/New England fans. They'd think I was insane.

How's this for suck:

I have to wait until 7:30 PM to begin watching this one with the DVR.

My son has something he absolutely must do and we watch games together. So my whole crew is going into a "cone of ignorance" and we start late.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

are you F'n serious. how are you going to do that????????? That is TORTURE. although i guess if you fast forward through commercials you will be watching the end of the game live right?

Nothing would ever make me any part of this one..even if only started an hour last

Yep. I will be "live" by some time in the 4th quarter, I would think.

I've done this before.

The hour of not watching is horrendous but being able to miss commercials and blow through half time is pretty good.

Hey, my son is my son.....

I AM READY!!!!

:rocker::rocker::rocker:

I believe the team is ready, I hope the stadium shows up, I know we we all will be psyched.

Brady's numbers against this team are not as good, I believe he will have a great game, but he needs some playmakers to also show up.

It is ~32 ish here, snow, the beer is in the fridge, the Goslings is ready, should i be lucky enough to crack it.

Let's go gang, lets match their intensity.
