Boston billboard counting down Ray Lewis retirement

Ahhh, we do not need to give Ray or his teammates any added motivation

Cheap PR move. They tweeted the photo to about 30 media types today and a few retweeted. The NFL.com guy's lede of "Boston is counting down the moments to the big buh-bye for Ray Lewis" is absurdly stupid.

They have billboards in Baltimore too....

If that actually contributes in any way to the Pats losing, they likely don't deserve to win.

Hah -- waiting for NFL.com to add that to their story. ...

Just a PR move by Clear Channel, which owns WXKS and butchered WFNX into whatever it is today.

you would think they would at least call clear channel to get the details of the billboard. It could have been a photoshop for all they know.

Can the billboard get pressure on the quarterback? :D

what would be funny, in Manti Teo fashion is if the Ravens paid for the "Ray Lewis Retirement" billboard to give their team bulletin board material

If winning the game that would send them to the Super Bowl isn't enough motivation and a billboard is enough motivation, you gotta wonder about the Ravens' players.

I thought Brandon Ineedaho-ho or whatever his name is said a lot of stupid things on Twitter especially for a back up/special teams player, but I never thought that would be any difference on the field. And I don't think billboard will either.

It won't make any difference but it lacks class.

OK come on, that's going overboard a bit don't you think? This is nothing more than having a little fun leading up to the big game/talk of the town.
Lacking class would be to put up a billboard with Ray Lewis in handcuffs out in front of police headquarters with the words "good luck on your upcoming 25 years to life sentence of retirement".

this is quite funny, i like it

from both us and baltimore, its what sports is all about, if you're not optimistic in ur team, u shouldn't be a fan

Yeah, i suppose. But it just seems a bit low to go after a guy on the way out.

Anyway, I shouldn't really judge it too harshly as I have said far worse things, just to smaller audiences.

Maybe it's billboard envy. I want my abuse in lights!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bernard Pierce puts the Billboard pic on his Facebook page

Calls it disrespectful and more motivation
