Did Bill Polian steal your your patsfans.com password?

"your your"?
...say, you wouldn't be that world famous nutjob Pats hater, Ray Ray 19...would would you?

Good solid win by the Patriots. Texans are a very talented team.
Was that one of the worst officiated playoffs games we've ever seen or what??
Jeez they were bad.
The injury to Gronk hurts but is by no means a knockout blow. This is a much more talented and well rounded team on both sides of the ball than last years group.
My one area of concern is the kicker/kick coverage/lack of depth with kickoffs etc. They need to get that cleaned up.
Bring on the Ravens. Can't wait!!!

I'm a very pizzed off homer...so I'm going with the "DB initiated contact" defense...but beyond that...yeah...it looks like PI Hernandez....

you just WAIT until I get the shots of the holds on Wilfork in this game though....I WILL run amok!!!!

He got damn near undressed on the 2-pt conversion.

Mccourty, big play opening kickoff.
pats average offence, still 41 pts!!!!
imo, texans defence better then ravens, and ravens have no one like watt, and slower lbs

The Ravens will be easier to run on than Houston. The few games I have seen of the Ravens they were not good against the run.

WTF???????????????????????????????????...OK.....WATCH that TD pass to Posey...never mind the juggling ,was he in or out...THAT play should have NEVER been allowed...LOOK at the TACKLE from behind on our DE on the rush!!! What the hell was going on in this game????..That CANNOT be anything other than a penalty for holding...it's IMPOSSIBLE to be on that field as a ref and NOT call THAT holding...what the hell else did I miss in person???...krist, I'm sick now....that's HORRIBLE...I'm watching the DVR BTW....I don't care HOW you look at it...THAT was a blatant hold...has to bew, MUST BE called ONE HUNDRED PER CENT OF THE TIME!!!

I want to hear what the league has to say about this crap this week....

Based on the referee team's definition of forward progress (which is at first contact by a defensive player), Foster's forward progress was stopped short of the goal line.

I thought the Hernandez OPI call was right, but they didn't call it once and did call it once. As a receiver, it's not your fault if the defender tries to jam you and you swat him away like a fly.

@DaBruinz: Since you've got the rulebook handy, tell me which article notes "Welker shalt not draw a holding in the first three quarters"

You know when people say Patriots fans are spoiled? Well, when people come here and say yesterday's offensive performance was "average", it only fuels that fire.

Congratulations from Houston. Great performance by Brady as usual.

Good Luck next week against Baltimore.

Congrats on the win guys. Your team pretty much showed us, again, that there's a freak'n mile between a good team & a great team.

But, at least we know where we fall short. I think we've got the guys to get it figured out & get us to where we want to be, the question is how long.

Again, congrats on a great game.... & good luck.

Oh yeah, sorry if I stepped out of line in the game day thread.

Talib led the team today with 9 solo tackles ... 10 total tackles.

But the 9 solo tackles ... that's a huge number.

I loved seeing him get in Johnson's face. People hate Sherman and etc. but i want that from my CBs. You need confidence at that position.

Posey was IN bounds for a TD, if you count possessing the ball 200 milliseconds before your body touches the out of bounds stripe. I'm not clear what constitutes "possession" in the rule book. I do know that the ball never left his possession afterwards. This was one call that a 60" HDTV and slow motion gave a better view than the stadium screen.

The Foster TD was a travesty as there was irrefutable visual evidence easily seen on TV that he was down before encountering the goal line. Inexcusable to maintain that call after review, not that it mattered.

I'm one of the last surviving subscribers to the Globe print edition and, this morning, I got up to find an article by the CHB on the front page with the title "A Laugher from Start to Finish". Manages to be disrespectful to the Texans (calling them a joke team) AND the Patriots, who beat them with a lot of effort. Stupid, smug twerp! No way I'm linking to it.

Question about Hernandez's missed catch in the endzone. Do you see it as an overthrow by Brady or a bad route by Hernandez?

At first I thought Tom overthrew him, but when they showed the replay, I noticed Hernandez hesitate on his route, turn around a bit too soon, and missed a step, before trying to catch up again.

Looked like an overthrow to me, but more than that it looked like a Gronkowski route they tried to use Hernandez to run.

In a perfect world, someone would invent a mental block that would prevent the CHB from ever speaking or writing about the NFL.

Technically an overthrow by Tom, but I think it was more of a throw away as the Texans rush was closing in and Tom put it where only Hernandez could get it (even though it would have taken an incredible leap and grab to bring it down). Hernandez had two Texans trailing him, and unfortunately the end zone isn't 30 yards deep like the CFL.

I couldn't help to think that Gronkowski grabs that. I just thought that hesitation killed it because Tom's throwing that ball when Hernandez is gunning it full speed.

Regarding the injury to Gronkowski:

Looking at the replay where he re-injured his arm, it appeared to be a routine play. Do you think he was healthy enough to play or did the Patriots get him back on the field too soon?

Since I'm not at all interested in the Red Sox, that would work perfectly for me ...
