Unfortunately, it looks like GRONK's skeleton isn't really made of adamantium. :(

So who gets his spot on the 46 next week?

I would guess Shiancoe but isn't there a KR out there we can sign to give us something better (at less risk) than McCourtey ?

I know Shiancoe is more of an AHern backup but he would add depth to the TE position overall.

I hope there are better options, he couldn't beat out fells and got cut

He knows the offense, can't ask for much more than that this time of year.

A lot is going to depend on what's going on with Woodhead and Jones as well.

I expect someone from the Practice squad to get added to the 53 (probably Forston). I doubt they'll add anyone to the PS.

I expect Fells to get added to the game roster.

Jamarcus Russel????? :p

I think give Rainey a shot!!

fells made that big catch in seattle..maybe he has 1 more in him?

IMO they will promote Marcus Forston to the active roster to have an extra big. I'd expect Fells to be on the 46 game day.

Well you would thing Fells would be on the 46 so there are 3 TE's active. Whether they add anyone from the PS onto the 53, no idea. perhaps to open up a ps spot and sign the DE from Canada onto the PS, extra incentive to pick up a SB ring for the FA ;)

They are going to resign Tiquan Underwood only to cut him before the Super Bowl.

There isn't anyone on the PS that could help fill Gronk's role, so likely his spot would go to another area of concern.

Defensive line depth could be addressed by adding Forston to bolster the Tackle position or even Robertson if Jones's injury is significant enough.

If the team opts to add another pass catcher, Ebert could be brought into the mix.

If the team decides to shuffle a few spots to help out Special Teams, we could see Develin or Tarpinian brought up.

Who knows if / when the Patriots will even make a move. They could potentially just let Gronk sit on the roster (HIGHLY unlikely) or cut a PS guy and sit at 52.

I hate to make the Maroney comparison, but coming to a stop when returning kick-offs....

I would rather find a returner who can take the load/hits off of DMC and Welker and maybe upgrade the return game. I think they can just activate Fells instead of signing someone else (unless Hooman is too injured to play this Sunday in which case they'd have to sign a TE). Fells is no Gronk but I have seen him make some plays on similar routes and think he deserves more of a chance.

Maroney used to be a decent KO returner . . . too bad he isn't around for that ;)

This gets brought up every week and every week the starting DB and WR are out there returning kicks and punts. Did you see the hit Welker took yesterday? Brutal. But do you think they are changing their plans in week 19? There are only two games left - not much time remaining to manage for statistical injury.
