Should Denver have kept Tebow?(merged-please no more)

LOL. Neither Manning nor Tebow plays defense. Two special teams TDs and you lose? C'mon man!!!

I think any team who has a quarterback that takes you into the playoffs, and especially wins, should keep that QB for the next year. Tebow's no exception.

Especially when that QB had no off-season to practice a new type of NFL offense the coaches had little experience with. This year's avalanche of spread option offenses proves Denver could have been ahead of the game. Instead they took a step back.

Peyton is who he is based upon his regular season prowess. His post-season performances are ignored or excuses are made for it. Denver got a great regualr-season QB, but a 50/50 post-season QB AT BEST. Manning has a tough time winning the BIG games at EVERY level.

Given that Manning gets credit for everything the offense does (one sportscaster said that the Denver offensive line made adjustments in the 2nd quarter, and that Manning must have played a big role in that, for example), he should also get credit for taking a knee with 30 seconds and two timeouts left, right?

It IS funny that Peyton didn't get as far in the playoffs this year as Tebow did the year before.

I said they shoulda kept Tebow as a joke.

Someone actually thinks this for real is, well, curious.

That to me, would have been a TMQ moment where he writes "game over" in his notebook. WTF? Why didn't they try to get into field goal range there? Loser mentality and they paid dearly for it. That can't be blamed on anyone except the coach, though.

I look at it this way:

- Denver couldn't get any further in hte playoffs with Manning than they did with Tebow
- But Tebow couldn't beat out Sanchez in New York
- Therefore, if they want to get to the next level, Denver should really trade for Sanchez

It makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

Someone pointed out that in-fact they did with the same result. What I think you were pointing out is that Tebow won a playoff game as a Bronco and, well, Peyton has not.

I think what we saw tonight is a Denver team that for a variety of reasons was overrated quite a bit. That secondary, in particular, just isn't very good.

First of all;

Suck it, Peyton.

The only thing better than the Pats winning in the playoffs are either of the Mannings losing.

But, ff you wanna get technical, Peyton did take them as far as Tebow did. And they didn't lose by 40 this year.

If a fan of any team is willing to believe that Denver would have been better off keeping Tebow, they need to take a hard look in the mirror.

Here's what's confusing. John Fox traded Tebow for Manning, and yet he doesn't trust Manning as much as Tebow. Why trade a young mobile QB for an aging QB who was injured for a year and will be retiring soon, instead of spending the money on improving the defense, if you don't even trust him?

As the QB of the Broncos, Tebow was trusted to throw deep for a single pass play, leading to a win in OT.

The next year, as QB of the Broncos, Manning went 0 for 4 (or so) possible attempts in the last 30 seconds to fight for a win, eventually losing in OT.

Heck, in three other famous games, Brady moved the ball to field-goal range to break a late fourth quarter tie with just a few seconds on the clock each time. (Yes, earning his three Super Bowl rings.)

Maybe John Fox thought that Denver would win the coin toss again? (Tebow did what Manning could not there, too.)

Joke thead hopefully. Tebow is not an NFL quarterback.
