Seattle to go to the SB IMO.They are a wagon right now.

I think Seattle is as likely as any of the other four teams left standing in the NFC, but no more than that. What did they do yesterday to prove this to you? They gave up two quick scores before RG III reinjured his knee, and Wilson looked pretty pedestrian for most of that game. Sure, they have a great running game, a dynamic QB and a fantastic defense. But I'm not sure I'm taking that over Rodgers and his receivers, or a SF team that has a similar recipe for success.

In any event, the NFC really looks like a four team race, I honestly have no idea who I'd pick in either of the matchups this weekend, and all four teams look capable of making the SB to me. In the AFC it's really just a waiting game for the AFCCG as I don't think Baltimore or Houston have the horses to compete with NE and Denver.

Besidea Seattle isn't a very good road team

LMAO..They came from behind 14 on the road and scored the next 24 points and should have scored 30+ save a fumble on the goal line.

Seattle put that myth to bed last night Atlanta has yet to prove anything to anybody but lose when it come to playoff football at home on the road or land and sea.

You can make a case that Seahawks were a better team than Redskins but vs Niners,GB or Atl is a stretch but ya never know on any giving Sunday or Sat. Pats can contain Lynch and force a turn over.

So what you're saying is that Seattle is a very good road team...if the opposing team's quarterback gets grievously injured and the opposing team's head coach is too stubborn to take said quarterback out of the game.

I agree with mayo that the loss of Clemons is huge.

All of the 8 teams are really good and have a chance, one thing about momentum is it often changes....

Seattle looks good, but there are a lot of variables..

Really going out on a limb there, eh? :D

^This. A healthy RG3, hell, even if they pulled him after the knee injury. I don't think SEA wins. They did nothing yesterday to showing me a run to the SB. I would however love for NE to face them in the big game.

They have the tools to but I don't see it happening, most likely their season ends Sunday IMO. They're a good, complete team but at the end of the day they're an 11-5 team who really should be 10-6 if not for a horrible ruling awarding them a win over GB.

I do not see Pete Carroll and a rookie QB winning 3 road playoff games. There is a very good chance they would not have won 1 had RG3 not messed up his ankle OR Shanahan wasn't a psycho and simply replaced a gimpy QB with zero effectiveness after drive 2. I mean it was basically a game of let's hand you the ball over and over, see if your offense score 14+ points on the Redskins D over 3 quarters. And Washington does not have a very good defense. Atlanta will be a much better measuring stick for Wilson and Seattle next week.

Best RB left in the playoffs let me put it that way. AP without question is the best. But for a player with agility combined with power he is as good as anybody. Reminds me of Corey Dillion in his prime.

Another thing. You got to wonder if Pete Carrol was left here to shop for the groceries. He has got some animals on defense.
I'll put his draft picks against Bills over the last 5 years when it comes to defense.
Wow earning a wild card and winning one playoff game really means a lot to you doesnt it?
Too bad us teams stuck with losers like BB only get to skip round 1 and play home in round 2, or you might think BB is as good as Petey Carroll:rolleyes:

Atlanta proved they didnt have to play last weekend. That is more than winning last weekend.
If not for a fumbled snap inside the 10 that no Redskin attempted to recover, its a one score game with a lot of time left.

I don't share this admiration for Seattle. In fact I think Wash beats them last night if RG3 wasn't obviously hurt. Besidea Seattle isn't a very good road team so for them to go to ATL and then to either GB/SF is a tall order. They will probably lose this weekend as ATL has many more weapons that Wash does!

I agree with this. RG3 was clearly hurting the team. A healthy RG3 or if they play Cousins instead and I am not so sure that Seattle advances.

I picked Atlanta so I don't share your view. That said, Seattle is as good a bet as any other NFC team to play in the Superbowl.

Bad pick. They don't match up favorably at all with Seattle.

Petey is weady for his twip to Atwanta in his wittle wed wagon. Go Petey!!

I was a bit disappointed with Seattle's defense to start off the game. I know the spread option can gash any defense in the NFL, but if there's one I thought could shut it down effectively it would be Seattle's D. As it stood, it was more RG3's injury.

Not much of an excuse when the Pats were making a lot of those D picks in the second round especially in the secondary over the last 6 or 7 years.. We haven't had a top 10 D in about 8 years.

Thats what I was referring to when CD was with Cinn.. saw enough highlights.
And Corey did it with 4-12 teams.

Marshawn Lynch still has made the best run I have ever seen by a running back a few years back in the playoffs. And I have been watching football since the only team you could get on TV was the the Cleveland Browns in the early 60's with Jim Brown.

the first two comments are eye rollers especially the #2. They came from 14 down on the road in front of 80K very loud fans.

The 3rd is debatable. Foster is more consistent. Lynch is stiil a one man wrecking crew when he is rolling.
I think the Pats will beat them given a second chance. Pats are a smarter team but Seattle is way more physical and and Pats just don't match up against real muscle they just don't.

Eye rollers? Those two are facts.

They came back against a sub par Red Skins team. The Patriots came back against a sub par Jax team during the regular season as well. And yes if not for that call the Bears are in the playoffs right? Not the 9-win Seahawks.

Foster is better than Lynch stop the madness. Not saying Lynch is not very good but come on now.

Lastly, Seattle is more physical on D but on offense other than Lynch they are not remotely scary. Their chicanery will not work the 2nd time around.

I look forward to watching the Falcons beat the Seahawks this weekend.

Im rooting for atlanta (although i like the seahawks too) but i dont think they have enough to win it. but i hope mattyice will get his 1st playoff W

Marshawn Lynch without question is the best running back in the game today.
Their D is dominant.
I think the only team that can beat them is the Pats and Brady with his A game.

For you bettors out there all the favorites won this weekend.Take all the underdogs next weekend there will be at least two upsets.

Adrian Peterson says high from way up a top his perch.

I like the Falcons to beat Seattle. The Falcons are the better team IMO. I assume the Seahawks flew back to Seattle yesterday (not sure) and they have to fly out to Atlanta for a 1pm Sunday game on east coast time. That may have some affect on how well the Seahawks play. Regardless, I like Atlanta.

Right now I think Atlanta is going to win that game.

- Atlanta is going to have a huge chip on their shoulder with nobody giving them a chance, even though they are the #1 seed.

- Seattle was acting like they just won the Super Bowl. They may have peaked too soon.

- The Seahawks are going to have to win consecutive games in which they travel across three time zones, this time for an early (10 am their time) game.

- The Redskins were a mediocre team representing a mediocre division. Their entire team was wrapped around RGIII - but even though they were one-dimensional Seattle was down to them 14-0. Do the Seahawks make that same comeback if he's not limping around and unable to plant his foot on throws?

Earlier in the season I thought Seattle would be going to the Super Bowl, but I'm backing away from that now. I would not be the least bit surprised if some of their more vocal players (that was Richard Sherman's first playoff game, for example) are looking past Atlanta. They just seem to come across as guys who are really full of themselves right now. They're a very good team, but they're not so talented that they can just show up and win - especially against quality opponents.

How is that a myth? They were 3-5 on the road this season.

I don't like Atlanta as they have played a weak schedule and given their playoff history you have to doubt them. But lets not misconstrue that with Seattle suddenly becoming a good road team.
