Johnny Manziel

SEC defenses >> Pac-10 defenses

Please. Johnny football exposed SEC defenses this year. God I wish Oregon was playing Bama in the title game..

I would take Oregon -6.5 over Bama... :rocker:

EDIT:I am not disagreeing that SEC D's are better then Pac 12's(- Stanford).

If he looks like a combination of Brady and Wilson than hes not going to be the future QB of the Pats. If hes that good he'll be the #1 pick and go to the raiders where his football career will die.

Well, the Patriots could trade Brady to whoever has the #1 pick. . . . :scared:

What is this kid known for.... his running ability or his passing acumen? If it's running, run away.

Teddy Bridgewater is better

It may just have been me but Manziel looks smaller than the 6'1 200lbs he's listed at. Seems like he has a fair bit of Elisha about him in regards to the deep ball.

Whatever your opinion on Johnny Football and his suitability at the next level he's entertaining at the very least.

Johnny M looks like if Woodhead played QB.

Hes fun to watch running around out there, but his style of play wouldnt last long in the NFL. And, hes very short, so if you keep him in the pocket he will have balls knocked down.

He just turned 20. Who knows if his body is mature yet? Heck, my son grew from 6'2" to 6' 4" between 20 and 22.

He's a lot of fun and he's three years from an NFL career. Let's just watch and enjoy. He could end up at QB, or end up replacing Edelperson.

Bridgewater/Manziel will be a repeat of Luck/RGIII in the 2014 draft. Hopefully the Bills/Jets don't land either.

I'm beginning to think that I should get ESPN for next year, so I can watch College games. When we were in the US in September/October (loved it, btw, and it was our first time), I saw more College FB than I had done previously. I wasted a couple of Saturdays.

I haven't seen guys like Manziel, but one QB who looked like a potential NFL player was David Ash of Texas. I've read that he can be inconsistent but I was impressed with what I saw against (I think) OSU.

Manziel and co are great to watch but I have to agree with others that they are in greater danger in the NFL.

Wouldn't mind if they get Ryan Swope with a 3rd or 4th round pick if he was there

Ya i'm sure he will but if his stock falls a little bit wouldn't mind the Pats using a 3rd of 4th on him.

But it's unusual to grow past 20. Besides Manzy for some reason, at least on TV, looks older than 20. He does not look like a freshman at all.

I think he may come out this year--let alone in three years. Which might be a wise decision given the punishment his body takes... make some bucks before you end up on the IR.

This is a huge problem for Russel Wilson and Drew Brees, who are shorter than Manziel.

You couldn't keep that kid in the pocket, he is just elusive and reads the field incredibly quickly. Its why I like his nickname because the kid just has that something special that you cannot teach.

If you ever get a chance, going to a big college game on a nice fall day is better than going to any pro game. LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Clemson, Florida St, Ohio St, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Texas/OU game. Have never been to one out west. But, college gameday can't be beat for atmosphere IMO.

Bridgewater>>>Manziel definitely want bridgewater as the successor of brady imagine how could he could be studying under brady and BB and having gronk hernandez, edelmen and a few other receivers

I'm not sure what you see in Bridgewater, I saw some film on him and didnt walk away especially impressed, either in a good or bad way, thought he was very "meh".

he just seems very calm in the pocket and makes a lot of nice throws and clearly plays well in big games i definitely have to watch more of him though. im probably overreacting a little bit but definitely would be a nice i guess it all depends how he grows as well

Teddy Bridgewater is ,right now, the best QB in College Football, at least in terms of projecting to the pros. He;s not at Luck's level although he's just finished his soph. year, but he's the next step down. Very smart, incredibly calm under pressure and has a lovely touch on the thrown ball.
