Its funny, because you said Brady to Champ four time, yet your talking about one interception, but when I say:

Repeat after me:

Manning to Ty

Manning to Ty

Manning to Ty

I'm talking about three interceptions in one game, not to mention:

Manning to Rodney (2003 Playoffs, Also in the enzone)

Manning to Rodney (2004 Playoffs)

Manning to Polamalu (Yes, that one counts)

I'm sure theres more, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. But seriously, who writes your stuff. Your killing me. I'm still laughing.

My vote goes to the '89 Broncos & 2000 Giants.

I am sorry, I love that team. But the 85 Pats may be the worse team to make a Sb.

Not only were the a WC team, they got cruched in the SB. The year before they were not that good, they had a decent yar the year after when they lost to the Broncos in the playoffs. But than they were never heard from again.

I have a soft spot iin my heart for that team, I can still remember every moment of the Dolphins AFCC game. (that was that teams SB). I was 12 years old, and the way my paents house looks, where I sat, everything. I truly loved that team.

But that team may be the worse team to make the bowl. You also have to consider, the 89 Broncos, 92 Bills, 94 Chargers, and 98 Falcons.

with a holy roller coach, coke-sniffing WRs and RBs, an all-world OG who says the QB oughta be wearing a skirt, and the owner in deep financial straits. long remembered, not forgotten.
however, a cincinnati bengals team that lost to da jiints, mid 80s also comes to mind. ""ickey shuffle" runnin' around my brain.

The Ickey Shuffle Bengals did not lose to the jints, but rather, lost to the 49'ers w/ 23 seconds left on the clock. Until that point they had outplayed the best team of the decade. That Bengals team was legit.

If a team wins 3 road games convincingly against teams that are supposed to be superior, you can't say they are the worst team in the SB.

The only reason that anyone would even bring up the 85 Pats is b/c of the way they got killed in the SB and the fact that they were a wild card. Well I hate to tell you, but whomever the Bears played that day, with the possible exception of the Dolphins, was going to get clobbered. That team was simply head and shoulders ahead of the rest of the league.

Give the 85 Pats credit: They are the only team to lead the Bears during that postseason. In fact, they were the only team to have even SCORED against the Bears that postseason.

I still can't think of anyone worse than the Chargers or possibly the Falcons.

The '98 Falcons were 14-2.

I think the '85 Patriots were much more talented than they get credit for. That was a real good team. They didn't lose to the Bears by 36 points b/c the Bears were that much better than them. They lost to the Bears by 36 b/c they just happened to play their worst game of the year that day.

That's the thing about blowouts. Usually they're not the result of one team being that much better than the other, they're usually the result of one team simply playing that much worse on that particular day.

The Patriots had opportunities early in that game but they failed to take advantage of them. And then once things started going bad, we didn't have the leadership to keep them from snowballing. I suspect that if we sent Belichick back in time to take Berry's place, we probably would have won that game. At the very least, it would have been much more competitive.

2000 Giants. In addition to the Ravens, the Raiders and Titans would have also killed them. The imbalance between the tops of each conference was insane that year.

I'd put the 1994 Chargers up close to them. That year was 49ers vs. Dallas for top-dog with no other team coming close. Any AFC team would have been throttled that year by either of those two.

After reading "The Education of a Coach", I have to wonder about 1986 Denver as well. BB was convinced that Washington was by far their biggest threat in the NFCCG and that the SB was an afterthought. He said the 1st half of SB21 was a case of the Giants not taking the game seriously enough, a problem that was fixed at halftime and manifested itself in the 2nd half blowout.

Regards,
Chris

No, no, no.....YOU repeat after ME:

NO PEYTON NO!

NO PEYTON NO!

NO PEYTON NO!

NO PEYTON NO!..........

This is what you're screaming every time your boy Petunia throws a pick in a playoff game, leading to his team's demise. Give it up, pal. How lame must you be to talk trash about the Patriots WHEN THE DOLTS COULDN'T EVEN MUSTER UP A PLAYOFF VICTORY THIS SEASON? And this was supposed to be their year! Just like the previous two seasons. And I suppose next year will be their year as well. The Dolts will never win the Super Bowl as long as Polian/Dungy/Manning are running the ship. Deal with it.

You make a good point.... and Bud Ice has more alcohol as well... I'm still not sure what the whole "Dry" thing was all about.

I think the whole "dry" campaign was about saying "OK, 17-year-olds, here's a beer with no aftertaste, so your dirtbag friends won't have to see you pucker up for as long after each sip." This is not official copyrighted material from the Budweiser Corporation, it's just my guess.

Heard through the southern trees, lovely grounds with manicured geraniums as people sip mimosas...........

"Mr. Brady, your caddy is ready!!! Please have your foursome proceed to the 1st hole"

You have to take into consideration which two teams played.

The 85 Patriots team was not one of the worst team because they played arguably the best SB team ever. And, my memeory was just jogged the other night that the Bears played without two starters who held out all season for contract reasons.

Maybe Vandershank and Peyton are in his foursome.

I thought this would cheer you up.

Yes, ahem... the 85 Pats would be pretty high on the list. BUT, they ran the ball all that year, (I think even losing 10-21 against the Bears). Knowing they wouldn't win the game running, they looked like the worst team ever, trying a passing attack in the SB.

I thought that too...but then if you consier that they had the misfortune of having to go against what probably was the greatest defenssive unit ever to appear in a Super Bowl. Just the bad luck of the draw.

Didnt the Broncos get beat even worse the following year??? Can't remember.

The Broncos got beat by the 49ers, 55 - 10, four years after the Pats got killed by the Bears. That took the Pats off the schneid for worst super bowl beating ever.

Seems too much focus on the outcome of the game here. The '79 Rams put up one heck of a fight and lost to one of the greatest teams ever. L.A. in fact led late in the 3rd quarter.

Interesting that the 2001 Patriots haven't been mentioned. According to their critics, the '01 squad was one of the weakest contenders ever - but they made one heck of a showing.

What is the saying, winning is a great deodorant? Actually, on that ESPN show talked about on another thread on the all time 40 man SB squad, Michael Holley was shown saying the 2001 Rag-tag Patriots squad that beat the greatest show on turf Rams, blah, blah, blah. First time I ever heard them called anything like that.

my misstake, '85-86 patriots was a gutty team

oh, jeez, '85-86 patriots IS the team that went out to oakland and settled the score in the infamous patrick-sullivan-takes-one-in-the-kisser game. next they beat miami in the great "brick-by-brick" game, they'd gotten beat by fins in miami only 3 weeks previous. they were the FIRST team to get to SB by winning 3 road games in playoffs. this year's steelers are second, 20 years later. that was not a good team but they deserve respect. the miami and oakland games were titanic struggles, both against teams we had not beaten in a long time.
but they STILL had a holy roller coach, coke-sniffing ballhandlers, unforgettably gad ownership, and an OG who detested their starting QB. perhaps one of the more bizarre nfl teams ever. wasn't that the season of the Rod Rust affair, and thee irving fryar car accident?
