"Clutch" is starting to be used to describe bad quarterbacks who somehow win despite their performance. "Sanchez made it to two AFC championship games. He may not have been very good, but he sure was clutch!" etc.

Last season, after the superbowl, there was a bunch of smack talk from Giants fans talking about Eli being better than Brady. Leave the thread if you don't want to take part.

Again, my argument has nothing to do with the Giants winning those superbowls, my argument is that Eli isn't elite and no where near as good as Brady.

I will never let that argument go.

Giants fans can squawk all they want, Eli's rep just took a BIG hit. Look, QBs who win Super Bowls get some respect. And he's won two. So kudos. But the Giants defense was clearly the MVP of those games, and a top QB shows consistent excellence.

Not making the playoffs is a complete failure on Eli's part--a complete failure of leadership and skill. Sorry kids, that's not "elite."

Everyone's elite now-a-days... Flacco - ELITE, Rivers - ELITE, Cutler - ELITE, Stafford - ELITE, Ryan - ELITE. Being called elite used to mean something.

Meanwhile, Tony Romo is the worst quarterback ev4r despite a 96.1 career passer rating and a chance at a 5000 yard season tonight.

Oh, and one more thing. The same goes for Coughlin. This guy is continually hanging on for dear life to keep his job, his team goes on a run last year and suddenly he and Eli are candidates for the Hall of Fame. It's hilarious.
