...according to NESN, to make room for Cunniungham.

Talk about long over due, what a waste of cap room and waste of a draft pick Brace was. Just a 330 pound tub that sat around taking up space In the lockeroom.

Never made it here.

Showed signs of getting it but never really did.

I wish him well in the future.

But it was past due to happen.

So you're telling me the Pats had their Brace removed? :p

If I recall the Pats took Chung, Darius Butler and Ron Brace in the 2nd round that year. Seabass (Sebastian Volmmer also)

If you want a decent chuckle check out our draft in '08:

..... OR it could be another example of the Pats using the waiver wire to create some roster space for some much needed depth for a specific game. It could be, like the Branch waiving, where an unhealthy player is released, with the idea to bring him back later when healthy.

Brace will very likely clear waivers, so if he can get healthy, he will be available to be resigned if we need some instant DL depth in the playoffs.

This has been a very disappointing year for Brace (and for those who wished him well.) He had a great TC and had earned regular snaps on the DL rotation. Then he got hurt again and it all spiraled downhill. He hasn't really been healthy for the past month and, with 21 guys on the injury report, the Pats need some healthy bodies for the Miam game.

Chuckle why? Are you unhappy that we drafted two Pro Bowlers that year or happy that we did?

That's not a bad draft at all given that the Pats picked last in every round and had no #1s. I don't get this random criticism of a team that doesn't even get a shot at to 20 players because they win so much.

2006-2009 was a very down period of Patriots drafting.

Sure, but we passed on some pretty decent folks who were available after each spot.

Generally I'm glad that our drafting has become great again but I don't think there's any argument that we've had some rough drafts.

We are a bit thin at DT right now. We need one more decent interior lineman. It was supposed to be Fanene who was replacing Wright. And Pryor's on IR, which doesn't help. We cannot have injuries at that position.

How many teams have had the type of success the Pats have had for more than a decade now?

This nitpicking a particular draft pick is getting pretty old and "stoopid" to boot.

I think the Pats are drafting well and solid in FA too because the keep winning, and winning, and winning, and...............

Not every team has the luxury of 2 HOF'ers manning the helm....

Hitting on Wilfork, Mankins, Gronkowski, Mayo and some decent FA signings also helped.

Brace lasting this long was a surprize. Can't help the club from the tub. I was disappointed as I liked the pick when it was made.

Mr. Ras IR Dowling will be next

Being a Worcester resident I always hoped Ron would get a good breakout game for the homers. I hope BB is just shuffling the deck like he always does and Ron will get another shot.

To think people wanted to let Wilfork go because of Brace being drafted lol. I have a buddy who partied with Brace at BC said he was a pretty chill dude. Shame he didn't make it. Wish him well wherever he goes unless its on a rival.

Bummer. I live a short drive from Springfield and see how depressing it is daily. Would have been nice for someone from there to make it in this kind of business.
