He also had a fantastic Brandon Meriweather impersonation, unless that kind of laying the wood is what you want.

the helmet to helmet?...every team in the league has safeties that hit first and ask questions later...dirty hit, he got flagged...he protested he didn't...guess what...I saw a bunch of alligator arms the rest of the game when any of our receivers were in his vicinity..I'd swap him for Chung is a millisecond

Hi Pats fans!

49ers fan here just wanted to drop in a say that was one hell of a game that actually lived up to the hype, unlike the Texans game.

I look up to your team so this was a big win for me personally. Hope to see you guys again in the Superbowl!

:rocker: out

So, who do we root for next week in Pittsburgh v. Cinci, since we probably get the winner?

Cincy of course. Steelers have regressed, defensively. But they got some outside receiving threats that I doubt we can match up with. And you can never count Big Ben out.

how is this a "huge blow!!!"...c'mon with the theatrics...the best team usually wins in the playoffs...I like the Pats anywhere...and tell that "huge blow" story to the 2007 and 2011 Giants

My point is that you still have to play one extra game and that too on the road to get to the SB. Giants won it in 2007 and 2011 but doesnt make it the right path either. Its always betters numbers wise to have one less game to play , thats it and they had the chance to clinch it with 2 of the last three at home and didnt , not to mention the health of our players without a bye could be a significant factor. Just because giants and pitt and GB did it doesnt mean bye's arent better. Yes we also lost after having the #1 seed wrapped up vs the jets but I would rather be in the same situation again than not having a bye.Just my personal opinion.

so would I...BUT...I look at the AFC and I do not see a defense that can limit the hurry up we've seen in action the last eight games...BB sells the "we're being disrespected" card pretty well if I recall...strange things happen these last two games...I won't judge unti the final position is affirmed.

Best we can hope for is that the extra game is a momentum builder. Bye teams usually struggle out of the gate against wildcard round teams.

At least now the pressure is off, The Patriots can use the next couple of weeks as their bye if they want to, i'm sure Belichick doesn't have much of a preference between 3 and 4 at this point.

I'd like to see you guys again in the Super Bowl. I just don't see it. I don't see this Niners team getting past the packers. At this point, I think the packers are the team to beat in the NFC, but the Seahawks are right there. I could be wrong.

We keep complaining about the players that we have to put out on the field without seeming to comprehend that they are out there because nobody else was available to play. We do have to many fragile players that we are relying on heavily though. Dennard got hurt AGAIN and Edelman...they should start paying him based on half a season cause I don't think he will ever be available for more than eight games in any given year.

If idiot Goddell wants more games playoff or otherwise we are going to end up seeing the best Tight End, Sisters of the Poor ever produced playing against the best Safety from Holyoke Community College. This is not basketball. Football is simply to violent a game and coaches are going to play the best 11 they can put on the field for any given play cause no matter how much you hold a guy out, he could end up a heap of flesh at the fifty yard line on the very next play. Those best 11 will be on the field until they are injured followed the next best 11 and so on and so on.

Not while he was on the patriots :rocker:

Charity is becoming a liability despite his amazing skill set.

Your response makes no sense.

Oh iam not saying they cant win on the road, its just a lost opportunity especially after winning big last week and having everything in their control. Essentially the texans game win has become insignificant in the grand scheme of standings as of now unless the browns somehow create a miracle. Manning is the last person I want to see on the road personally.

I think any back would have fumbled on that last hit. A helmet dead square on a football. It's coming out.

Borges on the CSN game says it has to be concerning that the offense when faced with the pass rush early on and then late in the game after the kickoff return +TD couldnt handle the rush and coverage and only managed to move it when 49ers backed off on the rush and played more zone.

One thing I hate about this game, as a Ducks fan...

..LMJ's kick off return.

As much as the media is trying to lead us all to believe, manning is not the manning he once was. The broncos are good because of their defense and if you stop the running game, theyre history. Plus we haven't seen manning play in January in mile high. For all we know he freezes up like the tin man without oil.

the Pats had trouble moving the ball on offense after being pinned inside their 10 at the end???...wow...never seen THAT before. What did Borges criticize last week after the Houston game?...I'll wait....

and by the way, Bor45ges is full of it...the 9ers played zone in the third quarter and then switched back to man to man...and still Brady put up 28 points...krist Wrong Bogus strikes again

I am not sure the worry over the Broncos. Pats match up well with them. Playing the Steelers would worry me more.

Except they went back to man to man and Brady still toasted them. They have a great defense, let's face it. They're going to force the action sometimes. Doesn't mean your QB won't have a hard time getting untracked when you keep givcing the ball away.

So Niners never rushed and played zone from mid-third to mid-fourth?
