Texan fans, this is weird. Do not despair. Home field versus the Patriots is irrelevant. Brady is good in domes.

You also do not want home field versus the Broncos if it comes to that. Peyton Manning in the cold in Denver will drop off so much it will outweigh the altitude thing.

Imagine all of the storylines going into a Broncos vs Texans game in the playoffs. You'll have the new kids on the block going up against a team led by a guy who tormented them since the beginning of time. A Bronco vs Pats game won't need an introduction. The AFC is going to be a bloodbath this year. Hopefully our boys are playing in the big game down in my hometown come Febuary!

Yeah, I lurk more than post it seems these days, but the Texans fans have been a pleasure this week. Right on par with Saints fans in my estimation. You've been great ambassadors for your team.

Now, as far as the Texans themselves go, that first quarter was really touch and go. The Texans didn't give up much all that easily at that point. It took a couple critical plays to get things going, and it seems the Texans folded in the face of adversity. But, we'll learn a lot about that team here in the next couple weeks, whether or not they can bounce back. I personally hope they take another week to sort it out by losing to the Colts, putting us in the #1 slot. ;)

But I've gotta say, JJ Watt. What a beast. That's a hell of a player y'all have down there.

Man, you guys are great.

This thread is pretty much like Belichick & Brady's pressers..... spanked our young-upstart ass, then lay the compliments on.

Honestly thought the Patriots only looked good because of who they played.

Nope, they're the real deal.

It's been fun, you've been great, I hope the next time I visit this board will be under different circumstances...... like AFCCG from Reliant.

Well, anytime you have a first-class fan base like the Texans, you have to respect what they bring. They're just top-to-bottom a great fan base. No holes. You can't sleep on the Texans' fan-base, because they'll catch you. They'll catch you on all the phases of the game, the stats, the play breakdowns, you know, every detail of the game. We knew we had our hands full going into this week, and we had some good posts, and some posts we'd like to have back. Not taking anything away from their posters, they posted their heart out and did everything right out there. We're just happy we got away with the win. We're savoring the Texans fans for one more day, but the thread captains are out there scouting the 49ers boards, looking for their tendencies, you know, their trademarks. The 49ers fans have that great legacy, that great fanbase for many years, and two great young quarterbacks that they can hurt us with. We did some good things this week posting against Texans fans, we did some bad things. You're never as good as your best post, and we're trying to remember that as the 49ers fans come to town....

I just want to say thank you to all the Pats fans that have welcomed us to this board and/or joined the conversations on ours.

It's been a pleasure; I normally don't visit opponents' MBs all that much.

Good luck the rest of the way until we meet again.

And Happy Holidays!

It's amazing to me how much changes so quickly. The first half of the season (and I'm guilty of this) were prognostications about which NFC team was going to wipe the floor with their AFC opponent in the Superbowl. Now, the AFC has roared back into contention.

Hey Pats fans,

since many of you like J.J.Watt, I thought I'd share this really cool video clip that shows the humanity side that made him a fan favorite in Houston.

I hope you will like the story as much as we do.

Wanted Watt very very badly during the draft and watching that video makes me want him more. Hell of a player and more impressive hell of a man. Houston should extend his contract now like the pats did with gronk.

Game aside, I had a great time in Boston.

This is my first posting on this forum...I have read and observed, but now feel compelled to write. The only thing more disappointing than the game was not being able to see the lower decks of the USS Constitution due to renovation work. Bad timing, I guess.

Thanks, Boston metro, for being such great hosts from the tour guides in the historic sites on the Freedom Trail all the way to the bar staff and hostesses at CBS Scene. Saturday night in Quincy Market/Fauneil(sp?), with the Christmas tree lights and holiday atmosphere, was amazing! I am definitely going to return to Boston with my non-football-fan friends and family next December.

Now, the game.....aww, how HUMILIATING! I was prepared to lose, but not this big! I'm glad I didn't drink at the game, because I would have hated to walk past all of the Pats fans in the stands on the way to the restroom! And I paid good money to sit on Row 1 of lower deck only to have the ESPN camera crew block my view every time the play was near my side of the field. Learned my lesson on buying Row 1 tickets!

All in all, a great NFL experience. Thanks Boston!:D

Welcome aboard.

But you should never be "prepared to lose".

Native Metro Bostonian living here in Md now. It's great you'd like to return there next December, but Boston is waaaaayyyyyy better in the summah! If you're going to travel there, go during the very nice weather - - hit the harbor, the islands, the swan boats, etc.

Glad to hear you had a nice time there. Were you in the "Traveling Texans" group?

Oh, I definitely plan to make it back there in the summer as well...I just know that my girlfriend would love to shop there in December!

No, I was not with the "Travelling Texans"....they didn't plan to arrive in Foxborough until close to kickoff and we wanted to be there earlier to check out Patriot Place bars. Didn't care for Toby Keith's, but CBS Scene was great. Very friendly (and patient!) staff.

Another thing I want to mention is about penalties.

We, as a bunch, discussed about them.
We have agreed on quite a few that was called against us, all in the spirit of sportsmanship and the rules themselves. We are not homers, the culture of the board cultivate that sense. We will study All the calls; we don't give our guys free passes.

Tried to register at Texans forum, after a few days received an email:

'Unfortunately your registration at Houston Texans Message Boards did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted.'

Seriously. No posts, nothing, I hadn't literally zero interaction there. Maybe they didnt' like my IP address. I now dislike all Texan fans and will be rooting against their team, just for spite. :enranged:

I told you that "I Hate Davy Crockett" handle wouldn't be met with approval....

Ok, I'm over it now. Kinda. I knew we would have to play a perfect game as a compliment to your team. Hopefully you kicked our ass enough to get over confident for 49ers...lol, yeah right.

Anyway, great win and enjoyed the chat. The only chance we have is to get you guys on our turf next time. Enjoy the ride.

That's too bad. It took them 3 days but I had a good experience on that board.

I'm not one if the moderators, but there have been quite a few posts lately, even from our own posters, that there seems to be a delay or a problem.

I will bring it to their attention.

But honestly, why would you simply dislike Texans fans just because some MB failed to fulfill your registration.

That hardly seems fair.

Hey, the reason I came back is thanks to some of the fans from the Pats MB visiting us still.

I feel obligated to return the favor out of respect to these good people, cheers!

And again, good luck for the rest of the season.

Now that I remember, I also like to give prop to those who operate this board.

The registration process and approval was quick.
The response to "forgotten" password was also very quick.

Very much appreciated from my corner.

I got turned down because they would accept any of my email addresses which were hotmail, yahoo, gmail. They wanted an isp email which I don't have.

Too bad they seemed like a good group, certainly the Texan fans who came here were a good bunch.
