Donte Stallworth to IR

How about picking a wr that the scouts sais is good and not someone they said you should avoid, say someone like Chad Jackson who the scouts told BB to avoid but he didn't. He trusted other people than the scoutes and that didn't really work out.

This news kind of sucks. Stallworth was a huge improvement over Branch. I know that Branch knows this playbook extremely well, but he is slow and can't get any seperation. Stallworth knows the playbook and can get open down field as we saw in the game. I'm sorry but Branch is a 4-5 option at wr, at best. He has been really good for us other years but age has not been kind to him. You can have any magical connection with Brady, but if you can't get open then you can't. I think fans have a hard time accepting this.
In retrospect, cutting Salas might have been a mistake—we just don't know if he had TFB's trust—but losing Edelman was very, very unfortunate.

We tried that....

Chad Jackson and Bethel Johnson said hi

This team has failed with drafting WRs in round 2 ..better off with a bonafide veteran WR who is somewhere between 26-31 years of age before risking another dud....get a proven FA AND THEN gamble in the draft for a decent WR in the mid rounds.

Does Deion Branch say "hi", too? He's not the deep threat, but he's a round 2 WR, and he certainly was not a failed pick.

We get to see an actual deep threat for one play and he's gone. What a disappointment!

Maybe we will see Ocho back or hey maybe even T.O.. I love me some T.o.

Well that was brief... I am actually quite dissapointed with this:(

Can someone explain why he just wasn't released? Is it just a favor for him so he gets paid for the last few games?

Breer says it was a high ankle sprain, so clearly the pats couldn't keep stallworth around for 4-6 weeks at this point in the season. breer also said that gronk will not be back for the 49ers game....

someone mentioned gaffney, but he was suspended for two games for something, i can't remember what.

Bizarre move. Would rather have Stallworth. Branch could not have made the play Stall did last night.

I was not impressed with Stallworth. He caught a long pass from Brady. Ran and was caught from behind (something he said last time would never happen). The pass before he did not look real good as he spun around lookng for the ball. I will take a much slower Branch who is on the same page as Brady. He's not going to dazzle anyone, just needs a catch now and then.

NFL.com is reporting he suffered a high ankle sprain on that touchdown reception. Now once again we've lost our only deep threat and are once again depending on the corpse of Deion Branch. :(

What's with all the branch bashing, yah he's lost a step yah he's a bit slower yah he's older. But you got to admit when everyone else is covered and others teams look past branch, Brady knows right where he is and branch knows where to be. They always seem to connect. And not always but sometimes you see branch make big plays in openings.

Tough break for Stallworth. That catch and run reminded me of the Dallas game in 2007. Hope he recovers and finds a landing spot next season.

I knew something didn't feel right about how he got through that last Texans guy on D for the touchdown. The defender tackled him at his ankles and Stallworth fought through it for the TD. Unfortunately, this is probably what hurt his ankle or foot or leg

Lets look at the better part of the last decade, but it figures you would dig up ONE player drafted 10 years ago to argue a point, well done

If it weren't for some real stars picked up in FA/Trade over the past several years the team would not have been as successful in the passing game as they have been.....Welker,Moss,Gaffney ect:

Too bad it's too late to trade a couple more picks for Salas.

Is this the beginning of the Ebert era? Bam Childress is a free agent. Is Patten formally retired?

And Shiancoe? Explaining him is like explaining the Lyle Lovett thing - not sure what girls see in him. (But it's an analogy - Bill Belichick would be Julia Roberts, see, and Lovett would be Shiancoe.)

This coming from the guy who pointed to Bethel Johnson and Chad Jackson, and that was it?

Seriously?

Branch - drafted in 2002
Johnson - drafted in 2003

Does one of the roster spots go to the recently released Ron Bartell? Just a random guess here - no idea if the Pats have any interest. Were there any rumors of him getting a look when he was a FA?

McDaniels and him shared a locker room in 2011, but he spent most of the year on IR with a broken neck

Damn it.:mad:I couldnt believe when i saw it.:bricks:Is there anyone out there at this point besides Deion?

Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson are looking for work :eek::bricks::bricks:

What about Gaffney?

Damn, I was looking forward to seeing more of him in the offense. Damn. :(
