Re: Ummmm the Patriots Didn't have Gronk Tonight.

And they played half the game without their best CB.

And welker had butterfingers

Hard to believe he had only three receptions. Early on I thought he'd go double digits for sure.

Watt -- wow, what a player.

sounds like steve young is calling brady the best qb this year

Gruden after the game : Brady in my opinion is the best qb of all time

Gruden after Denvers Monday night game : Peyton is the best QB of all time

Will he be calling the game with Luck next week?

Steve Young - " Brady is significantly better than any QB we've seen this year."

Re: Ummmm the Patriots Didn't have Gronk Tonight.

yeah but the texans didn't have their second string tightend so it all balances out according to the announcers;)

DId anyone hear Gronk's name even just once tonight?

Can't wait to see the first person to post something negative from the game...

Steve Young - " Brady is significantly better than any QB we've seen this year."

Gruden "Brady is the best ever." until...he calls a manning game and says the same thing...

Dilfer cannot say a single positive word about us? come on man

Excellent display by the Patriots today.

I think Jays52 nailed it when he likened the Texas D to the Steelers D - alot of pressure packages designed to take away the run and force quick passes.

As is the case when Brady faces Pittsburgh, he spread the field out and took them apart.

Kudos to Brandon Lloyd for an excellent game - a number of clutch catches (plus the one taken away on the ridiculous PI call on Hernandez).

JJ Watt is a genuine beast - he is like a super athletic Seymour - so hard to contain - against any other QB wth a slower release he would have had 2-3 sacks tonight.

And the D...what an effort.

Awesome job in scheme and execution - singling Talib and Dennard on AJ was brave and worked superbly.

A decent pass rush was ably assisted by very good pass coverage for the most part and a great INT by McCourty.

I felt like the D really confirmed that is turned the corner since the McCourty switch to safety - the Texans put plenty of points up this year - as it stands this D is easily in the top half of the NFL.

It was interesting that the Patriots commitment to the run early (while not hugely successful) forced the Texans to play alot of man coverage - eventually that told.

42-14 is a hell of a result.

Did you know that Gruden "loves that guy" once a week for 16 weeks? :bricks:

Great win all around. About the only thing we didn't do well is run the ball until they put their backups in, but they are a very good run D. Otherwise pretty flawless performance out there within reality. Big win but keep in mind it's just one win. Good chance we see those guys again and the score is 0-0 when the ball is kicked off.

Dilfer...Questionable PI calls and houston didnt take advantage etc etc...

Dilfer seems to always be down on the Patriots, did he get snubbed by the organization somehow?

Visanthe Shiancoe just wrecked Mallett's QBR.

Please post your comments about tonight's big victory on this thread.

Was it as good for you as it was for me? Any more questions about Brandon Lloyd?

Hey, wait a minute, no knee jerk reactions?:D. Seriously tho, can Dilfer ever give the Pats credit? "questionable calls against Houston?,..Bla , Bla.

Player of the game, for me, is tough to decide but I'm leaning towards Wilfork.

Huge, huge, huge props to Mayo and McCourty but Wilfork was doing the Lord's work all game long.

******* great win. I love it when I don't even have a chance to get stressed.

My thought is actually about Houston. Matt Schaub=Joe Flacco, but with better toys to play with.

Josh McDaniels just coached his best game of this season

Great Job to the coaching staff. Great playcalls and seems to really know how to attack this very good Houston Defense. That TD to Lloyd was fantastic. Loved the gameplan and execution. Very nice win tonight!!

Wilfork is having a MONSTER season. Like a beast from the Triassic, he's wreaking havoc on play after play.

Vince!!! SHSHHHHHHHHhhh don't tell them the secret

Just heard the post-game interview with Wilfork. What a class guy. 100% class and a true patriot. I love this team cause the players. These a good guys that really honor the game.
