I know there was a lot of whining when the Dolphins signed him. Do people still want him back? If the Pats don't want him now, then they probably never will.

He had 4 receptions for 68 yards before hurting his knee. He also had at least one very bad drop that would have been a TD.

Yep. Will remain to be seen if we try and claim him or kick the tires again if he clears. Should have been a fit but I have a feeling there was more amiss there on this return than mere injury.

Can't play any longer. No thanks.

Meh. Hes still a functional #4 or #5. You don't go from having the best statistical year of your career to being out of football the next.

I agree with Mo, something else is up with Gaff.

If he's healthy, I'd be all for it. We're pretty banged up in the WR/TE dept

I wouldn't say we're banged up at WR. Definitely banged up at the TE depth. However, I do think signing a WR wouldn't be a bad thing to cut the TE's some slack, but Gaffney wouldn't be that guy if he's also banged up.

There's a reason why Mia cut him.

Heck Was cut him. We'ar the same team that had ten passes dropped in a single game and he wasn't good enough to stay with the Skins.

Signing him to bolster the receiving. Corp is like putting a band aid on a gun shot wound. Gaffney is not that good. He's a journeyman at best.

No, just NO!!!!!!

Thanks to THe Hut for his prior service but there's a fork stickin' outa him now.

He's not healthy. No thanks. Rather re-sign Branch if we need someone.

Are you a member at ExtremeSkins? Why in the hell do they make that site such an absolute pain in the ass to sign up for?

This thread (especially with Branch being brought into the conversation) is like a time warp back to late August/early September! Deja Vu all over again! :)

I would re-sign whoever of Branch or Gaffney gets healthier first.

Update: the NFL has apparently suspended Gaffney for two games.

Probably has something to do with Miami cutting him.

I think that Belichick would be much more prone to considering Branch then he would Gaffney. I think that ship has sailed awhile ago to be honest.

That's a shame too, because Brady liked him and felt pretty comfortable with him. He also could do a little more than Branch in certain areas, but I think Branch is just knowledgable of this offense to not consider if we end up needing another WR soon.

Must have been recreational drugs

I think a heathy Fells is a better way to go. Hernandez should benefit from the long week before the next game.

Trust in Bill, he'll make the final call on whether Gaffney returns.

at least he's not in jail. wasn't Miami known as the Dol-Fellons a while back?

Thanks, I was guessing maybe HgH for his rehab but knew that couldn't be correct since that would be four games. Weed/other would make sense for it being a two-game suspension.

Was he active for the Dolphins at all? I doubt he's even healthy.
